I actually tried to replace it right after i posted the post. But he doesn't seem to have enough bones for it, which makes him only able to have his own animation. so, with this technique... is it possible to cut off trophy heads and put them on different characters
the body can always be csomehow changed, to make it more like the characters body (example: Daisy's head on peach's body)
As cool as that would be, you can only replace so much. Animations like you said would be glitchy because animations cant be added to such things like trophies or background character body parts. Think of it more like this, they made Roy using Isaacs hair and texturing it red. All they did was place it on marths head and make his hair transparent and there you go you have Roy.The head would have some animation problems i guess but else i think it would have a chance of working
Edit: Now that i think of it. It would by awesome for the Mewtwo character being maked!
Yeah, but for Mewtwo, we already have a really good vertex-edited body. All we need is the trophy's head in place of Lucario's head. Unless the trophy models work differently than Tails' and Silver's, I don't see a reason why that wouldn't work.As cool as that would be, you can only replace so much. You would literally have to place every last part of the said character onto a model to make it work. And even then it might not work, because of file size it may be near impossible. So the best you can do is take the head off a trophy, find a model, then put it on someone close to that characters look and texture it up a bit and if needed do a little model editing in brawl box for custom animations that fit that character.
We didnt use trophies for silver and tails. They were in green hill zone so we used their background models. So likely they do work different. ...I have no idea what to do now. Perhaps someone else should do the polygon deleting, because it's fairly easy.

My only problem is that Knuckles has much less similarities to Sonic than Tails and Silver.He has the gloves, cleats, and head. And for each one of them, I'd have to make a separate GFX, which would make the file size too big.
Well silver will need alternate costumes so why dont you take that one into consideration =D . His fur will have to remain gray due to his model only being one color so it will be like a sonic situation. New arm bands and stuff. You can use that gray on one if you'd like =3

Ok now thats odd...I loaded up Waffles texture plus the one where Silvers fur wraps on his head and now it wont load on stage selection. Maybe the fur texture has something to do with the error.

I don't know if Weegee used your texture when he did what he was doing so my issue may be different. Im guessing its either the head texture didnt work properly or the texture you provided froze my game.hmm maybe i did something to the file on accedent.

Ill bite, what project is that?Once I'm done with Silver there is another project I have in mind but IDK if i should do it.
From what i saw it was just another silver head attatched randomly during some frames of animation. His head did float. There was alot of bug fixes that weegee already fixed but his is likely still freezing from what i said earlier.Well, it works in game now, but his head is still floatin' and theres a little teeny body attatched. Also, the textures thing isn't fixed yet. JUST SAYIN'. Not trying to restate anything, but, these are just my findings.

McLeod Gaming is the whole reason I ever wanted other characters in smash brothers. It kinda gave me a bit of hope back then for things like sonic in brawl. It only seems fair to give back that feeling by putting a fan character of theirs into the game. Just my opinion.

Even if you fixed it, I'll explain anyway ^^;. I'll use an example. FOREXAMPLE. You open Silver.brres (or whatever.) do what you do to the model to place it on sonic, and then go back to Silver.brres, export his textures, and import them into Sonic's texture data keeping the names of the files the same.What do you mean?
