Evolution: A Step Beyond CAP

The idea for the base stats is that Diamond has had a long lifespan, hence the higher HP, and is not very physically sturdy, and can be broken relatively easily compared to some rocks, however the sheer size of these diamonds allow Cromix to do damage with them superior to Onix's rocks, as well as their "hardness" to keep up some good defenses. Its special defense relates to how diamonds are rather resilient to things that would much mroe easily wear rocks, etc. Its speed is raised due to the smoother, lighter diamonds compared to Steelix's heavy steel or Onix's jagged rocks.

Not in natural evolution. I know there usually is in stuff like evolution via stones, trade, and all that, but when it evolves via level-up? I don't think it's very common at all.

Any bug-type evolution with a Cocoon it happens, for one.
I'm also pretty sure Combee loses speed to Vespiquen.

Poliwhirl, Magneton, Tangela, Scyther, Electabuzz, Magmar, Murkrow, Porygon2, and Nincada->Shedinja aren't natural evolutions. Each require something other than just leveling in order to get to the next stage. That leaves your list at this:

The common characteristic of all those Bug-types is that they change into completely different things upon evolution; the exception I guess being Combee (who still goes from Worker Bee who gathers all the pollen to the fat Queen Bee who eats everything in sight).

Things that don't change species, however, don't have that shift.

Don't let that base 100 attack intimidate you, this stat spread is pretty balanced for a LC Pokemon, if not even underpowered.

Most of the stat spread was based around Anorith, since Pinsir and Armaldo have very similar stat spreads.

I based the stat spread on increasing Dugtrio's stats as they were increased from Diglett to Dugtrio. Worked out in the end just fine.

Pretty much, the thing looked stronger and bulkier, but definitely not faster. So, my stat choices reflected that.

I agree with the stat spread but I think the HP should be 80 and the Sp.Def be 90. It looks like it would have more health to me.

This modification is approved by me, for what it matters. I found those to be the only 'off' things, and that modification makes them look better.

It was impossible to simply buff stats, Exeggutor's stats were just too high. Instead I decided to redistribute stats. Pretty much Storky here loses some bulk and a LITTLE power to have great speed, and it definitely still has usable Special and Physical attack for a mixed set.

Considering changing a few stats around to make it either completely physical or special and giving it some power and bulk with them.

It's a load of eggs in its first form, usually put into a nest that looks like a bird's nest (or at least from what I remember in the anime). To make it into some sort of bird is the only logical step I think.
