Europe VS EC crew battle

VS

An idea spurred from the 'clan crew battle' thread. Some people felt left out, or that crews had mixed players with mixed connections to us here in the EU. So instead, how about Europe vs EC =)

THIS IS NOT FOR EVERYONE AND ANYONE!

As much as I'd love large scale competition in this community, there are too many problems to contend with in doing so: Connection/Delay, Skill level, Time, Organisation/Enforcing matches are played etc

So instead, I'd rather a player limit with 2 team captains! This isn't necessary, but personally I'd prefer it to help get matches done, 'tactics' made/discussed and most of all picking players!
If you havn't guessed, I'm Europe's captain =). If Europe would like to discuss this please say so here
I also want to suggest Sheer/PD/Fire for USA but again discuss here

I'd like suggestions on player numbers, but more than 10 is going to be hassle so let's stick to that for now and see how far interest gos!

A 'requirement' is going to be ensuring 5 frames or less. We can run tests to make sure all players are able to play if it's needed, if you get less than 5 with some and more with others please say so. This can help CP's

Rules etc soon, and well this will probably be recorded too =)

I'd love to take part of this.
This really should be recorded.
About the delay problems, maybe the players with most delay could play with the ones who care less about it

that'd be a little too much even for Isai lol

m2k why don't you start playing online by the way ?
don't have all the hook ups

I only wanna play with a N64 controller

I haven't played smash 64 since like 2-3 months ago, and before that, many months before then.

but when I did play I was like almost jv 6 stocking people (out of 5). Granted, they weren't very good, but they knew how to Z-cancel and stuff.

I don't really play but I consider this game far, far superior to the likes of stuff like Brawl+ and minus and low tiers as well. It's more fun and that is why I support it.

64 is incredibly easy to learn, for someone who knows smash mechanics inside out im not surprised at you getting close to JV 6's :p

I like to compare 64 to SF2turbo, if melee and brawl were 3s and sf4 hehe, its still an amazing game.. a little unbalanced in terms of uber hitstun and a little less 'flexible' in terms of options (DI, spotdodges etc) but daym is it good lol

hell, someone buy m2k an adapter so he can join in on the crew battle!
oh but srsly please play someone like pika not kirby if you do decide to get on it ^__^<3

I'm pretty sure SSF2T is considered the best one by many people

SSF2 (without turbo) was the best (talking about 1992-1993 or so?) SSF2T was only a simple upgrade of the original IIRC

This isn't a discussion about which is better, i said it was my opinion of a comparison in terms of mechanics... i prefer 2T to any other SF if you'd like to nitpick

and lol A$, kirby irritates me more than pika even if Pika is cheaper and better! again preferance =)

I love you so much. Your idiocy is what keeps me going whenever I have a sliver of self-doubt. I don't know how I'd get through the day if I wasn't able to keep thinking "Well, I'm better than Novakane".

****, this should be awesome. And yes indeed, someone should buy m2k a controller to play smash 64.
Why should anyone buy m2k a controller adapter (I'm assuming you mean adapter)? He wins so much money at tournaments that surely he can afford to put $15 of it aside for an adapter if he really wanted to play.

The only adapter I regret buying was for this random guy named Smock Yoba or something. He stopped playing after a while.

Are we still doing these online crew battles?
I haven't played online since the tragic collapse of the Emularena Grounds room in the Kaillera Network. Now I understand Galaxy64 is where it's at. Before that, Emularena Grounds was the hotspot for SSB64 and many chose to recognize me as the best Pikachu there... unless you entered the room, Isai- which was quite infrequently.
