Hey dudes.

Like many of you, I want to be the best DK that I can be. But! It is no longer acceptable for me to attend a tournament and hear, "nice DK". It's time for the masses to scream, "GRAB YOUR *****, JUSTIN'S GOT HIS DK ROLLIN'."

Know what I mean?

Here's the point:

Mind Gamez are all fine and dandy, but let's hear a list of essential tech skills that successful DKs need to have down. I'm not talking flashy stuff like footstool headbutts (as cool as they are), I'm talking tech skills that you NEED in order to win. Stuff that you have to practice to get down.

Go.

Super armor timing, definitely.

EDIT: and if you turn tap jump off, you need to learn jump-cancelled up-b.
Or just learn to play with tap jump.

Set Y to special and roll your finger over jump before you hit it. It's really easy that way.

swatting projectiles < powershielding
side-b (as much as I love this move) as an attack is more of a mind game imo. But a very useful one that all DKs should know.

-Switching directions when dropping off the edge using cargo.
-Up b super armor glitch.
-Nailing the end of airdodges with a strong move.
-Holding down to avoid grabbing the edge with up b.

learn how to gfsc headbutts consistently and you will become very famous
It's not that hard to do. The problem is getting your enemy in such a situation where you can safely footstool-stun him... he can just easily do an attack or shield and he won't get stunned (and probably punish you). It's really risky and most of the time to do something else is better... =/

powershielding is the most important thing dk can do imo. Everything else is important, but if you're going to play one of the best punishers in the game, make sure you can actually punish. powershielding falco's lasers is probably one of the best things you can do to get in there and gay that bird

In retirement of smash.
> Glide toss, dk has a pretty good glide toss.
> Tech Chasing (grabs) Forgive me if I am mistaken on the words. Just grab and walk the way you are facing, and thow them in any direction. Follow them and hit.
