No offense cort but if your banning of stages is serious, that's really ****ed up. Stages like mute city/brinstar are WAY less neutral than corneria or pokefloats. Mute city is borderline bannable as is with a regular ruleset since it favors two characters SO drastically moreso than any others. Brinstar is pretty ******** too. If ur gonna take away the spacies counterpicks u cant just leave all peaches. hahahaha

Uh, which ones are you talking about specifically? Green greens should always be banned. Corneria just promotes camping to no end, with any character. No one likes poke floats.

Plus, they're the spacies. Why on earth would they need counterpicks? I didn't do it against them on purpose, I just chose a stage or two I hate seeing in tournament, with anyone.

Many characters do well on Brinstar, particularly everyone except spacies, especially against spacies.

You can't camp your *** off on Mute City, and Peach's counters still do fine vs her there.

So, what's the problem again?

I would consider unbanning Corneria, I particularly have no problem with it. I just remember someone telling me to ban it (ZoSo?)

because even though they "promote camping" or "nobody likes them" it doesnt make them the STRONGEST counterpicks, which is what is grounds for banning. Brinstar isnt nearly as bad as mute city, but mute city is practically a free win for peach against 90% of the cast. I would MUCH rather fight a fox on princess peaches castle or green greens than a peach on mute city, at least i have a chance against the fox. Mute city is just a ridiculous level as a whole and shouldnt even be on, no one level should favor 1-2 characters so heavily. As far as brinstar, its actually not that bad for spacies who know how to play on it, but if you are going to take away space animals counterpicks you shouldnt leave peaches unfair counterpicks untouched. its not like peach doesnt STILL have dk64, jungle japes, etc. that ***** has the most counterpicks ever

it just seems like ur personal bias is effecting the rules for the tournament, which isnt good

Oh well. I'll unban Corneria since it's not -so- bad. Except when you fight a ******** Falco that doesn't like being near you ever.

Green Greens I've felt should be banned completely from everything just because it's an idiotic stage.

...yeah, no one likes Pokefloats.

I haven't looked yet, but I assume Onett is banned. v_v When I say I'm going Onett all you have to do is switch to fox, right?

instead of having a list of banned stages why not have a list of playable ones? it will be a lot smaller.

The only actual stage I banned that usually isn't banned (for whatever reason, I don't know) is Green Greens. (I don't feel like there's any personal bias, I don't have problems on Green Greens myself anyway. The stage is just ********?)

There are still plenty of spacey counter picks.

I've thought about just listing the stages that are allowed, but decided it's more fun to confuse people and let them possibly play on stages that might be banned instead.

With Melee tournaments (assumedly) winding down why change up the ruleset so much? I guess it doesn't really matter that much but I'm going to agree with plank and say this is kind of wonky.
Green Greens is indeed the worst stage ever. BUT:
Pokefloats is amazing why ban that? It's not random and fairly easy to memorize.

I'm sorry I was overwhelmed because both SNF and this banned pokefloats. I mean seriously that's like an affront to me personally.

me and th0rn have recently been acting as mercs for teams, so if any two good people want some flesh and wang then they can have half of the pie. you also have to be extremely good, so you don't drag us down LOL norllyimsrs
