To me the symmetry is broken because of the soulless "random" box. The Melee select screen looked much better in its absence and still looked like a shape. The shape of course is irrelevant, but the rectangular shape with the sudden lack of color is almost like not having that square at all.

To me it's pretty funny how he almost went out of his way to destroy any semblance of "professional gaming" (not like I agree with it) in Brawl.

On topic I'm glad all the speculation can stop. I'm not the type who doesn't want something just because its talked about too much (i.e. the people who didn't want DLC because it was talked about every other thread a while back) but I never saw it as much of a possibility and all the threads rumored confirmation and what not were annoying.

When I first bought melee, I thought Falco was a waste, I never use him but, I’ve played people that made me appreciate him and glad that he’s on the roster.

I got over it, and I accept the game for what it is. I don't expect any extras from the game when I buy them other than what's already been included on the game disc.
I have been following Brawl since the trailer in 2006 and the dojo updates I am very pleased with how the game is shaping out. And hearing it sold over 1mil in japan within nearly a week is truely amazing to me.
I have seen videos of Brawl it looks amazing, I want to play it more than ever. I know I'll enjoy the game.
And I don't think i'm getting less for my money, Brawl is a dual layerd game...with loads of content to keep me busy to worry about getting anymore..
Which is why i'm satisfied with the current roster, I wouldent want anymore characters It would just be too weird for me..

Now, before I say anything about DLC, let me just say I'm content with the content in Brawl, and DLC would merely be icing on the cake for me.

Now, I'd like everyone to remember the 'leak' at Brawl Central by Nintendude or whomever it was where he said that a 'revolutionary new technology would give Brawl something that Melee didn't have: Time'.

Now, recall the quote in the IGN article, where Sakurai specifically says no to there being any way to unlock characters via Wiiconnect24 or interacting in that fashion, i.e. through the internet. Had he no plans for future content at all, why would he not just say 'No, there will be no add-ons for SSBB in the future, I don't think we will do that' instead of specifically saying that there won't be any hidden fighters obtained through Wiiconnect24 or interacting through any other similar fashion?

Also, keep in mind that yes, game developers tend to deny everything 'secret' until the game/content is out and done with, most of the time...mostly to prevent things like that fiasco with Halo 3 and the custom server list issue from happening. Which, if you didn't know, the developers said a service to search for player servers would be added to Halo 3 so that players could search for servers using custom games rather than schedule a custom game with friends ahead of time. When Halo 3 actually came out a year later, there was no such feature as it had been scrapped during development, and many players were pissed because they bought Halo 3 expecting that feature to be in.

Of course, this is merely baseless speculation as far as anything is concerned, and should definitely not be taken as fact. If there is no extra content for Brawl after release, then we should all just be happy with the mountain of content that is already there, for Brawl is indeed a marvelous game on its own.

Didn't think so, every game has scrapped material in the code.
In this case it was scrapped ideas they decided not to put in the game.

The forbidden 7 have no revelance in this, sure things get planned out in the games.
Some things never make the cut, in this case these files where hardly messed with.
They didn't really go out of their way to put them in the game now did they?
If the characters where accessable through a hacking device and had fully rendered models and a move set and everything else and they just didn't put them in the game that would be a different story? But then again I didn't make Brawl so...yeah not my call on what the devs decide to do.

I agree with everything expect the underlined parts...

To me, the more content in a game means I just got more for my money.

However, It doesn’t matter anyway. I guess what you feel is that if it wasn’t there before it shouldn’t be added or it would be out of place.

You were unlucky enough to believe it the first time, Sakurai himself answered the question with a no.
It might just be a better idea to forget about the whole thing until you get the game. That way, if it turns out Sakurai wasn’t lying, you won’t be disappointed twice about the same thing.

First, the smiley isn't what we are arguing about, if you couldn't notice.

I just wanted to figure out why he would be happy about this sort of thing. The smiley was added to the title, it's part of the title. I wanted to figure out why.

And, for the most part.
The post that I actually read between you and Luke was just, you rubbing it in his face (that picture was kind of funny...), him cursing and name calling, both of you bickering and
