I probably wouldn't care lol

If Will freaks on me over this, then I will learn something of his character. That he wouldn't be able to be my friend. You should know how I operate by now.
Yeah I know but chill. Nothing rly pisses him off if something does, maybe you should lay off it >.>

Hmm, so you are just testing me? I see. Don't worry, I am not one to 'freak.' I just got a little worked up over something that has been bothering me for a while.

Was that your way of turning down my MM though? lol

I'm hard on people. I often test how far I can go with them. If I can go really far, I know they have thick enough skin to be around me.

I will not money match you yet. I'm not confident enough to fight Donkey Kongs as good as yours.

lol I know what you mean Lucas but there are certain things that set people off. You know I'm chill but if you say something like about my girlfriend I would obviously freak.

I don't even know her. You don't even know Diana. Why would either of us freak? Who cares?
I know, but it's just something you avoid saying out of a mutual respect. Like telling a joke about ******** people to someone with a special person in their family, you just know not to say it >.>

I have no respect for being threatened. I will not cease an inside joke which many of us enjoy bc someone has hurt feelings about their hair color. Mutual respect among smashers about family members and not going to far with trash talking about the game is one thing but HAIR COLOR?? What an awful comparison.

I will take you up on a mm will. I assure you my decision has nothing to do with your hair color.

I think it's reasonable for Will to be offended. What if a bunch of us white folk were talking about n*ggers around only one black kid and he overheard some of the ridiculous **** we'd been saying? Hair color, skin color, it's all some pretty mean **** about things that people can't control. Especially if he's had to deal with it before.

I know the jokes aren't directed towards him personally, and aren't ACTUALLY meant to have offense towards people with red hair, but some of the comments were pretty mean and shouldn't be posted right where he could read them. I make my fair share of off-color jokes myself, but this is kinda crossing the line.

I don't think it's simply "hurt feelings about his hair color". A bunch of people saying things like that right on front of someone can eventually get to them, especially if they're the odd one out. Although violence wasn't really the best idea to attempt to get it to stop, I still think his wishes should be respected. He's not telling anyone not to make ginger jokes, just not when it's right in his face.

Let's do 5, donkeyface. I ain't afraid of no gorilla.

Edit: cept Cable :X

Edit2: but only in singles.

Edit3: nah **** it, Cable sucks.
Lmfao I accept. Btw, not sure if you remember but you were my first ever melee MM victory, you went Game and Watch against my Captain Falcon for $1 at Game Table.

I would suggest you didn't sandbag against me this time xD

(Oh and Cable, you better be here to reverse such comments, if not to continue proving yourself ^_^)

I don't mind if you continue your silly joke. Just not RIGHT in front of me like you did at Kosha Boy while talking to ADHD without any regard toward who was immediately next to you. As far as your MM is concerned, I accept.

Edit: LMFAO @ people who take internet threats seriously, what I stated was more to get my point across rather than to initiate a violent act. Get to know me in person guy, I'm harmless.

This is Yes!

People need to chill. I've been hearing arab jokes since 9/11. That's about 8 years now?

Will, I've learned to never take the internet seriously, and just laugh if someone says something. If you get upset, people won't find you fun to be around. Just realize that no one actually hates you :)

*sigh*

I know you have thick skin. I handle **** like that pretty well too. You can't expect everyone to be the same. When you deal with something your whole life, it can either become really hard or really easy to joke about. Just because he has a different outlook on how to take insulting words doesn't mean he isn't friend material or that he's wrong.

We all communicate through the boards. I'm not going to refuse to kid with people that I know bc someone watching might be offended by a picture from South Park.

Any request made through a threat is meaningless anyway

I agree that you shouldn't stop joking about it altogether if you don't want to, but in a thread for a tournament coming up really soon that he's attending and is subscribed to? :/

The forums isn't a big deal, I guess. It seems like he took what happened at Kosha Boy right in front of his face pretty personally, so I guess at least just lay off of it in person if anything.

Forum nonsense just like all the rest of "offensive"material posted. Means nothing.

Didn't know he was attending, didn't know he subscribed, and it doesn't matter. It is NOT a big deal., any of it. If we were all 10 years old, I guess I could understand this offense taken about hair. We aren't.

Says the kid who's friends threatened me just this morning? That would make you a hypocrite, baby.

Who is this kid? Hey, shut up.

Cable sucks forever.

And for serious, I'll probably sandbag you again. Protip: First move I'm gonna use on BF, or SM is gonna be SideB.

Lol perhaps you misunderstood, it's not about the color of my hair. It's the negative connotation that people associate with the term 'ginger.' If I recall it was something about everyone hating them and their ability to steal the souls of others, and this is just a portion of what I have heard about the episode from others- I have never even seen it myself.

But this alone shows how prevalent the slur is, and I do take offense to it because I have been called this in the past by people who were immature enough to continue such stereotypes as were generated by the show. (The fact that people do not like them, not the other bit.)

Luckily, I don't honestly believe you thought it to be as derogatory a term as I view it, so its not that big of a deal to be honest. If you thought it was just concerning hair color, then we misunderstood each other.

I know, that's what I said. Your friends are idiots.

Edit: And I'm better than you and all your friends at CoD.
You said I was a hypocrite. I was not threatened. You were.

That may be so but knowing that I'm not one to take part in ginger day, this alone should take away from the offense associated with the term. I still don't see the need to watch what I say about something so stupid anyway. Thats all I can really say about that.

But acting like you don't condone violence over bull****. Bring your friend, see if I don't make a scene.

Also, **** you cable. ur bad
I'm not bringing my friend to an event just to cause trouble. Stop trying to cause trouble with me as well. Posting something that happened ealier on the boards isn't going to accomplish anything. I specifically stated threats towards me. I don't care what he said to you or vice versa.

Aren't you the adult in the room.

My point still stands: I'm better at CoD
