Does anyone play pool?

I play pool every now and then.
(If there is already a thread like this, I'm sorry, nothing showed up when I searched...)

Most of my relatives have pool tables, so I get to play at family gatherings and such. (So not all that often.) I'm pretty terrible.

I have one in the basement. But it is a good 18 years old and really broken.

I love playing 8 ball. I'm not that good at pool but once in a blue moon I can get a good run going. I'm always playing it at my local bowling alley against friends. Good times.

One wierd thing about pool is I win a lot more games when I'm solids instead of stripes. Am I cursed?

Yeah I play Pool.
I prefer Snooker though, it's a lot more technically demanding. It's sort of the Melee of billiard games.

I can play Pool sort of, but only play very rarely. I prefer snooker, even though I'm not that good at it, due to the fact it involves more than potting either all stripes or solids, and then going for black.

First time I played pool I got my pinky finger smashed by a pool ball, no thanks.
I'd probably be more open to playing if I didn't have to get my nail drilled into .

I do however like the crackling noise whenever the balls touch each other.

I try whenever i get a chance and i always win but that is because the opposing player always hits the 8 ball to soon

My dad keeps saying that once I go to a 4 yr. school or move out for good he's going to turn my room into a pool room. Doubt my mom will let that happen though. We really need to get that pinball machine of ours fixed, cause I sure do miss it.
