18 figures lie on the ground, giving no hint of how they got there whatsoever, all are motionless. One by by one they gradually rouse, quizzled glances and cries of shock are heard, but give way to understanding when they catch sight of a Blue Police Box in the background. The Doctor is involved, and that's all that's required for them to accept it, even the fact that there was a talking penguin among their number.
The door to the Police box is open, as if beckoning you all to come in, which you all do obediently. But it's changed, only a few of you remember it being in this form, for the rest it is completely unfamiliar, still it's obvious that this is the Tardis. As the last person shuffles in, the door closes and a hologram actives in the center. Again, only a few recognize the Doctor's form immediately, he has changed a great deal since the rest have last seen him, yet there is still an air of familiarity about him, leading you to conclude from the setting that it is him even before he begins speaking.
"Hello, I'm the Doctor", he starts, "I'm sorry only a few of you recognize me, but I don't really have time to explain everything that's happened". Right now, you're all in danger and I only have a little time to explain what's going on. I know the Sontarans are involved, I've got evidence that there using a type of clone created for delicate infiltrations and they've captured a number of you already, and replaced them with clones. I don't you who yet, I think a lot of that is gonna fall to you unfortunately, so I left you with a little something.
A small panel opens up in the tardis, revealing what looks looked like a larger sonic screwdriver of sorts. It was mounted inside the panel by a flexible arm of sorts, but it didn't look like it could be removed.
"That's something I just invented, it doesn't have a name yet", the hologram continued. Oh, I know maybe a... no that's dumb. Anyway, you fire that at somebody and if they're human enough, they'll be out for about a week, but nothing wrong after that. The trick is, these clones are special, high level infiltration, they're near perfect doubles and have access to all the memories of the kidnapped person. They do have one disadvantage though, they have to be connected directly to a Sontaran's nervous system and controlled that way. If you fire it at a Sontaran clone, it will be destabilized, and the Sontaran will go into shock, resulting the electrical impulses giving a specific pattern. The Tardis can then latch onto the signal, find the actual Sontaran and contain him. I doubt they'll all be together though, so you'll just have to find all their clones, fun right. Unfortunately, it won't work on most non-humans, so if you encounter one, you're out of luck, well except K-9, I'll have to reload his memory from the Tardis' back-up.
One more thing, I didn't bring you together. Some of you, I couldn't, something very powerful is working through this, I don't know who or why yet, but I'm working on it, we'll just have to wait and see for now. As precautions, I gave you a number of gadgets while you were unconscious, they're genetically coded so they'll only work for you. I'll also be watching you, but without knowing anything it's too dangerous to reveal from where. Also, I don't know what crises will develop during this, so you might have to fly the Tardis, if so, several of you have experience with this, those with experience should teach the rest the basics. As the hologram flickered out of existence, the companions immediately began discussing with themselves what they should do, and before long Donna starts complaining about a headache, holding her head. After a moment, Rose Tyler stands up and ask, "anyone know what this is?", while holding up a semi-transparent device with several flashing green lights and a white base. Immediately the device is recognized by River and Donna as a neural relay, so they attach it to the Tardis in order to save the pattern and also give it a coherent voice. As soon as it's plugged in, whoever was in the pattern immiediately said, "I'm frobisher, I was kiddnapped by Sontarans, if you have a penguin with you, it's not me!".
Frozenflame751 (Frobisher, Town Ghost), was kidnapped in the pregame! (The ghost is a role that may still talk in-thread when dead, there are 2 variants of this role that I created, one which dies during the pregame, another that has to wait to be lynched/NK'd. Both reveal alignment on death. The ghost is not a valid night action target).
The Penguin tried to protest, but it was obvious what happened, several of the companions grabbed "Frobisher" and turned the ray on him. The Clone immediately collapsed, degenerating grotesquely before vanishing into thin air.
NPC Sontaran (Sontaran NPC) has been blasted in the pregame.
Almost immediately the Tardis locks onto the signal and begins flying through time, depositing the companions on a desolate world with little visable beyond a small shack. Inside the found the convulsing Sontaran, but no hint of Frobisher or the other kidnapped companions. Disappointed, they returned to the Tardis. Resolving to keep everyone together and talk until they had figured out who the infiltrators were.
However, the universe didn't seem to wanna go according to plan, the phone rang almost immediately. It was Captain Jack Harkness (who seems to have finally obtained his number). He was brief and to the point saying, "Doc, it's the Cyberman, not the ones from the parallel universe, the Mondasian Cybermen. It's a full-scale war against Earth! Leela (who picked up the phone) unfortunately was left with the task of explaining to Captain Jack why the Doctor wasn't able to be there while the rest of the companions began prepping the Tardis, their destination? 20th century earth.

Nothing much I can do, but it is possible this setup contains roles that might be compromised by outside communication (which is about as likely as me including it in the rules so if I do include such a role in a future game, you can't mod-meta me because I've had that rule every game).
So, essentially even if I don't catch you, you do so at your own peril.

Too many hydras. Makes too many players difficult to read. Will be biased against all hydras until we have a manageable number (2 sounds good, one would be better). I'd prefer hydras to differentiate posts by colour - but if they want to bold which is posting at the beginning of each post I could accept that.

FF is dead. His N0 death immediately puts scum in a certain category of players. Which fails to help us with a player list this large. Remember it for late game when the good scum players are still alive and they've bussed their buddies.
