I'll try and make this as short as possible:

My Pokemon Fandom started way back in 1998 when I first played my friends Blue version (which I had borrowed) along with his Game Boy Pocket which both had caught my attention at the time, anyway when I first played the Blue version I remember choosing Squirtle as my Starter from Professor Oak, and i remeber fighting in all these great gym (Vermilion, Saffron, Viridian) which were good and all but I must say each and everytime I faught Gary Oak it excited me, one such battle was during the Silph Co. takeover in Saffron City which was EPIC, not to mention Giovanni, speaking of battle the Elite Four was quite difficult when I first got there, I will admit I had to go back and train at Victory Road but it was well worth it at the end to see the credits, the best was that after the credits rolled I was able to go to Unknown Dungeon to catch Mewtwo which I must say the thrill of the catch was better than actually capturing him.

Also at the time, back in 98' 99, the Pokemon Trading Card game was introduced to me at school by my friend and I must say they were AWESOME, I remember seeing all these holographic cards such as Himonchan, Magneton, Dragonite which were all so amazing, the first holographic card I ever obtained was a Gyarados (which I still have) along with a bunch of other that are in mint condition, I never really liked the actual card game, just collecting them and trading them with my friends was enough for me.

I also remeber watching the first season of Pokemon way back when it premiered on kids WB, I remember and I was joyed to watch what the next episode was, with each episode I watched, it made me get further into the Pokemon series which made me love it until this day, once particular episode that I love was when Armored Mewtwo was introduced and Ash had revisited Vermilion City for his Earth Badge, that episode is the best of all time.

I also remember the Hype for the new Pokemon (2nd Generation), which were introduced in the First Movie, the first Pokemon I ever heard about from Johto was Marill, at first me and my friend thought was some kind of Pikachu evolution (PikaBlu or Bluchu) but later I learn he was his own Pokemon, I also remeber seeing Snubble and Chikorita which I thought were cool.

When the 2nd generation episodes started airing on Kids WB, I was so hyped about them that I wouldn't miss a single show, and if I did it would really dissapoint me, eventually this is what made me want to go out and buy Pokemon Silver which at the time my friend had owned, I was so excited that I even told my dad to take me to work with him just so I would earn a couple a bucks in order to buy the game, eventually I bought my very own copy of Pokemon Silver and I must say it was cool, my starter this time around was once again a water type whci was Totodile, the first part of the game (the johto region) was awesome, but when I got to the Kanto region I must say I was dissapointed since the region itself was much smaller and the gym battles were much easier than the Elite Five, even the toughest gym leader (Blue) was no challenge, though I do admit it was cool seeing him as a gym leader, the absence of Giovanni was also a let down, by far the best battle in the game was definetly against Red in Mt. Silver which was bad a**. I also remember constantly playing and trading Pokemon with my cousin who had alot of strong Pokemon himself, and y'know what I did something sio insane that I actually traded five of my best Playstation Titles (Street fight Alpha included) just to get his transparent purple Game Boy Color along with his copy of Pokemon Silver which I didn't really need a second copy, but his Pokemon were quite strong.

All in all as the 3rd gen came out I only watched a few episodes such when May met Ash and really after that I never got into it since I was beginning to think (the Anime was geeting a bit overrated) not to mention 100 new Pokemon, since then I've never really watched any nrew Pokemon shows, other that that Lucario Movie which was great since it had Mew. In the nera future though I am willing to give the newer games a chance such as Ruby or Sapphire (which I never got to play but always wanted to). The point is Pokemon is great and I will always love it, particularly the first generation which OWNS ALL!!

My first experience was with my friend's Blue version back in the day. I was using his Jigglypuff against a Pidgey or something like that, and I was asking him what moves I should be doing.

Eventually I got Yellow version. That's when it all started. I currently have Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Leaf Green, Diamond, and Pearl. Plus both Pokemon Stadium games. I've completed the Pokedex and basically completed every game 100%.

I started playing Pokemon competitively in the days of RSE, but began learning and studying advanced strategies starting during the GSC era. I continued playing competitively and entering tournaments and winning some throughout the RSE and DP eras.

Kids WB. 'nuff said.
I have some videos on VHS still. i don't even think I have a VCR anymore:laugh:
When my best friend gave me a Charizard Pokemon card holographic and I told her what the hell is this?
I remember my brother found a holo Machamp in a ball pit when I was like 3. he showed me it and I asked him the same question:laugh:

Anyways, I started with Blue Version. Then got Yellow. Then got Pokemon Stadium for the 64. Then the second Pokemon Stadium. Then Leaf Green. Then Colloseum for Gamecube. Then Diamond. :psycho: ya so I've been playing awhile now

Both me and my sister received our first Game Boys when I was about 5 or 6. Unforutunately, I received a defective Game Boy, and I had to return it and get a different color than the one I wanted.
She got Pokemon Blue and I got Pokemon Red. She had a Level 92 Blastoise, and I raised several Level 70 Pokemon.
I still remember the day my Squirtle evolved into Wartortle as I pulled into my grandparent's driveway.

I will never stop playing these games because they remind me of my past. They filled my childhood with joy and experiences I'll never forget. .
That right there brings tears to my eyes lol. Sums it up perfectly for me.

Wow all these great pokemon stories makes me all warm and fuzzy inside :p . I first found pokemon when my friend showed me her red version when I was a wee one. I then got myself a gameboy color and yellow, red and blue version. I pretty much saved every penny possible solely to buy those games. They were used though, so only about 9 bucks each. I actually think yellow version was only 7 dollars because it did have some problems with it. Having one wasn't enough, I had to have them all lolz. Plus I liked to have 3 separate games going with different teams for each. I loved everything pokemon, I'd buy the play through manuels, trade with everyone, watch the shows, collect the cards. I remember way back in the day when I didn't understand what being poisoned meant. When the screen started flashing and I'd be sent to the pokecenter I'd be like wtf there's something wrong with my game!! lmao. I'd start bangin it on the floor and crap lolz. Oops. Anyways I moved on to buy Gold, Silver, Sapphire, Emerald, Leaf Green, Fire Red, and Diamond. And lookin forward to buyin Platinum :) .

Can't put, sorry.
Since I was younger I loved Pokemon. I used to watch the shows and movies all the time but they got old. Now I just play the games, make RPG's on Pokemon, and collect the cards.. Well scratch the cards part. I sold them all like 3 years ago. The show got really suckish with those new voices for the characters.

I've played since the very beginning.. was quite young then. Although not quite as relevant, I remember stealing some of my friends pokemon cards. I should feel bad. :( Well it was more of an unfair trade..

Also I remember not wanting my charmander to evolve on Pokemon Red and misread the thing that said press B to stop it... and I pressed everything but B and it didnt work!!

Well, don't worry, I've done much dumber things back in the day.

When I first played Yellow, I didn't know that Zapdos was one time only. I figured I could fight it, and it would appear again at some later point in time. So I killed it by accident and saved afterwards...

I was young and stupid at that point.

Well, I used to live in South America, and my uncle one day gave me this tape, that had the first Pokemon episode on it. I was around 5 or 6 at the time. Well, soon I started collecting tons of Pokemon stickers and watched the show whenever it was on. Mind you, since I lived down in South America, we were way behind on the episodes. We were at about the Kanghaskan episode (the one where they're in the Safari Zone) and when we moved to the US, I was imformed that Pokemon was on TV at 4:00 PM. I watched it, and it was on the G/S episodes! I was terribly confused. I didn't watch the show since.

Well, then my first game was Ruby. I loved the game, and all the Pokemon were total strangers to me, save Pikachu. When I beat that game, I bought Gold, and really didn't play it a lot. After that I bought Red for $5 at EB Games or something like that, and played that for a while. Then Emerald came out. That's probably my favorite game, I actually completed my Pokedex 100% LEGITIMATELY, and I think I had something like 300 hours when I finished it.

Oh, I forgot about Colosseum. I played that game too, got to the end but then my brother erased it to make room for some other game. That game takes up 48 blocks don't ya know.

Well, then the next game was Diamond/Pearl. I got Pearl, and used AR to get lotsa hacked Pokemon, but then had a change of heart and restarted my game. I had been hearing about Platinum, and for whatever reason I imported it from Japan. So yes, I already have Platinum and have beat it.

I have a large collection of Pokemon stuff too, Pokemon cards, a Pokeball, countless Pokemon plush dolls, a Pikachu that says "Pikachuuuu!" and even a Pokedex. I then also have a Japanese Pokemon folder, and I have a lot of the music from the anime on my Ipod. =P (Together Forever, all the Pokeraps...etc.)

Yeah, that's my story.

OH! and I have a Japanese Pikachu stylus for my DS.

Heh, heh, you're not the only one, when I first played my Blue version, I fought Moltres at Victory Road and killed it, but I always that that it would re-appear if I exited and came back, sadly though, he didn't. I also used my only Master Ball on a common Diglett rather than to use it on Mewtwo. After I found out that I could never obtain another one, I felt dumb.

I was born in 95, as a huge Nintendo fan, so you can imagine that Pokemon was a big thing for me. For reference, I've been able to read well since age 3 (I still LMAO at my memories of playing Mario 64 and insisting that it was Tiny-Huge Island as in is-land and yelling at my aunt when she told me the s was silent.) and I've been playing video games since around that age as well ever since an incident where I was left home alone (I woke up alone after falling asleep with everyone home ._.) in a locked room and was hysterical until I started playing Mario 64, my first game.

My friend Jeffrey, who lived in my apartment building and was like 5 years older than me, was always hanging out with my brother and I when I was around 3-5. He had a GBC and GB Pocket, and we'd always play Blue and Red, Blue was ours on our teal GBC (It's gone now... RIP my GBC) and Red on his green GBC. We'd brave the game together, helping each other catch Pokeymanz. And we'd name our rivals after each other, and we'd frequently link.

We got Gold after a while. 2nd gen is definitely the best gen, IMO, and we all loved the crap out of the game. We all thought it was a lot harder, and I never even knew there was a second half of the game because I only beat it recently, like 2 years ago. So, by this information, since Jeffrey left to Florida in 04, you can tell that I never beat it with him like before. And so, Gold was the only thing I had to remember him by.

I borrowed Sapphire from a cousin in 05. I had almost beaten it until it was stolen in school. The kid left the school, then I met him in middle school again. And I punched him in the face. He didn't remember why I would do that, though, which made it funny and cruel at the same time. But hey, he deserved it. I loved Sapphire almost as much as I did the second gen. Yet, the classic feel and Team Rocket make my order 2nd gen>1st>3rd.

4th gen? LOL.

I remember my first cards Golem and Muk+ a few others. Then I got my first deck with a beedril. That used to be a pwnaging card now it is obsolete with those stupid lvl.x pkmn with like 170 HP. I also remember playing red and catching mewtwo made me feel so proud and I did not use my MasterBall. Yay. Now all i see are 8 year olds trying to catch the pokemon on the box cover. All they do is use a walkthrough for the simplest of puzzles and then use the master ball.

Um... when did the anime start? 96'? 98'? Well, I started when the anime started, and drifted to the games.

I guess I kinda do. I'm currently 14 and I've played pokemon since the 2nd gen games...I was 5 when I played Crystal. I didn't play the R/B/Y versions but I managed to play the remade version. I've played these games in order: Crystal, Sapphire, Collosseum, Silver, FireRed, Emerald, Ruby, PMD1 Red, Channel, Diamond, PMD1 Blue, PMD2 Time...and yet the list will continue when I go after both Ranger games, Platinum, and probably Battle Revolution if I feel like it. As for the TV series, I've watched it ever since the firt episode...although ever since the 4th gen episodes came out, I missed a lot of the episodes.
