Ahh yes, the infamous bronysA lot of girls enjoy media aimed towards adult men, same with vice versa.
You're being silly by claiming that people can't be into same things just because age and gender difference.

my dude have you not seen the internet? Guys like MLP and girls like Marvel/DC, maybe not for the same reasons as their intended audiences but stillIf you think grown men and little girls are into the samethings then you're just being silly.
Would probably have to go to Mewtwo for me. Meta Knight is up there too, along with the good Captain himself. On the topic of coolness, who would you say is the coolest character in smash? I think sephiroth is pretty slick but I would give it to snake.
LOL I was referring to a different kind of cute - like Chorus Kids or Arle. I absolutely do think Chun-Li is cute, just for different reasons.I'm sure someone's gonna dispute you on the latter descriptor.
Mmmmmmmmnope! Nope! Didn't need that image.Guys like MLP...maybe not for the same reasons as their intended audiences but still
...phrasing?
this is the most wholesome thing i've ever seen and i needed this
Hey! It's rated E10+. TEN! PLUS! It's not just for kids!I love how we're arguing whether or not people can consume media that's not primarily aiming their demographic... in a forum about a children's party game.
Some people in here really can use a bit more self-awareness.
OK that's freaking cool. We need more Crossover Rangers.Imagine thinking Chun-Li isn't cool. She was a Power Ranger!
Happy birthday! So, who are you guys wanting or expecting to get into Smash Bros. Ultimate?
By the way, on an unrelated note, today is my birthday!
I am a staunch supporter of the rule of cool and I think there are many types of cool. Steve and Sephiroth for example. They could not be more different and yet are both firm adherents to the rule of cool, the most important rule regarding whether an inclusion is good or not. Chun-Li adheres to the rule of cool as well, for different reasons than the two fighters I have mentioned, but equally valid ones. Will forever be annoyed at how many people in the community only root for characters with a "cool" factor, and how that cool factor is usually just uber macho characters. Not enough room for silly and cute... not that Chun-Li is even that. It's just an issue that goes way further than this one instance and has made it more of an uphill battle supporting some of my personal MWs.
She's about as badass as a character can be, the only difference compared to Ryu or Heihachi being that she's a woman. So make of that what you will.
Edelgard would be the most evil villain in Smash because she would the one who would make us sit through a hundred pages of Three Houses debates if she got in and I don't think I'm ready for thatI wouldn't be opposed to more female villains in principle, but I think it's kinda telling that most characters who are being brought up for that role are either unfeasible as a fighter (Mother Brain, Carmilla, etc.) or are relatively minor in the grand scheme in their series (Suzie, Lusamine, etc.). The only two I think could really be added organically are Medusa, Gruntilda, and Dr. Coyle, but I don't see another Kid Icarus or Banjo-Kazooie character coming anytime soon, while ARMS has at least 3 or 4 fighters that would most likely need to be added before Coyle could be a realistic option.
I think the issue is that Nintendo (and I guess gaming as a whole) needs more female villains, who could then be translated into Smash. I'm definitely down for more female baddies, but I'd want their inclusion to feel somewhat genuine and not like they're being included to check off a box.
Then again, Fire Emblem: Three Houses balanced having female antagonists very well seeing how:
...so maybe there's hope for future, Smash-worthy female villains in the future?Edelgard is the main villain for Azure Moon and is the most prolific villain for Verdant Wind and Silver Snow, while Rhea is the main antagonist for Crimson Flower...
To answer your question seriously, I'd say Wolf.On the topic of coolness, who would you say is the coolest character in smash? I think sephiroth is pretty slick but I would give it to snake.
But if Edelgard and Vergil were to both get in, then we'd have "The crests are to blame!" "My family crest is a DEMON OF DEAAAAATH!!!" memes.Edelgard would be the most evil villain in Smash because she would the one who would make us sit through a hundred pages of Three Houses debates if she got in and I don't think I'm ready for that
People can say all Byleth is boring all they want, but his inclusion stopped the absolutely nuclear flame wars that would have occurred had Edelgard or Dimitri gotten in, so he's clearly a worthwhile addition.Edelgard would be the most evil villain in Smash because she would the one who would make us sit through a hundred pages of Three Houses debates if she got in and I don't think I'm ready for that
Happy birthday!
Happy Birthday!
Thanks, guys! I already beat and unlocked Sephiroth in the Sephiroth challenge mode!Happy birthday!
Yeah, the problem with the multiple house leaders is that choosing one sets off fans of the other. Byleth's the only neutral choice.People can say all Byleth is boring all they want, but his inclusion stopped the absolutely nuclear flame wars that would have occurred had Edelgard or Dimitri gotten in, so he's clearly a worthwhile addition.
Rhea would be more evil because it'd start horny talk again.Edelgard would be the most evil villain in Smash because she would the one who would make us sit through a hundred pages of Three Houses debates if she got in and I don't think I'm ready for that
That's not the neutral choice.Yeah, the problem with the multiple house leaders is that choosing one sets off fans of the other. Byleth's the only neutral choice.
Unless...
I see Elma in dat thumbnail tho u can't fool me i know that's her silhouette
What do you guys make of this? Agree or disagree? He assumes we might at the very least get a Retro pick.
Yeah, you're totally right. At this point I don't take into much consideration what people thinks about my most wanteds. Obviously it sucks when people are hostile towards the character you love, for that reason I don't act like an asshole when Smash puts characters that don't make me crazy, like Steve, because I respect his fans and I can see the merits of said character to be in Smash. This is something I've basically come to accept. In the end, hell, I just love fighting games, and I especially love Guilty Gear. My hope is that, much like Sephiroth, the characters I love can win people over with their trailers. I mean you can't tell me a Sol trailer with him fighting Galleom and turning into his Dragon Install form as this plays wouldn't win someone over even if they're unfamiliar with the character:
Nightmare is easy enough - have him face Link. Same with Raphael if they wanted a surprising fighter. It sucks that Heihachi isn't gonna be in the pass; he was one of my most-wanted, but he's a cool old man so it's easy enough to make him stand out. Chun-Li is iconic, have her kick some threats away and hit us with that sweet SFV music and you can sell people. And hey, it's a super long-shot, but you can't tell me someone like Fulgore wouldn't be cool enough.
I love how Terry has won people over. I got super frustrated when he got leaked and people didn't know, didn't care, or were hostile towards him. But at the end of the day, I want characters to make me happy, so if FGC characters do that for me I'm not gonna let others take that away from me. But my favorite thing to see is people who may not be familiar with a character get won over. That's the magic of Smash.
Where's Regigigas?regice is pretty cool. he's like -320 degrees.

Off in Gamefreak's headquarters trying to get Regice's name changed to Regiice so as not to disrupt the balance of the universe.Where's Regigigas?
He's trying to make patterns where there aren't any yet.

This is why Game Freak gave him Slow Start.Off in Gamefreak's headquarters trying to get Regice's name changed to Regiice so as not to disrupt the balance of the universe.
Granted, we tend to do the same thing so who is really in the wrong hereHe's trying to make patterns where there aren't any yet.
This can be taken two ways and both are equally funny.Like, is Tifa not cool because Sephiroth and Cloud have swords?
Your mind. This can be taken two ways and both are equally funny.
I'm sure that was intentional, but I still think it's worth pointing out.
the argument is that since sephiroth is a villain we will get more villains is really dumb, since the fighters as characters were all decided around the same time they are going to be diverse in variety between characters, i doubt we will get anymore villains unless FP3 is a thing.

Hold on, why are we talking about Edelgard in a conversation about including female villains in Smash?
