Of course they copied and pasted, most of the games Morrigan's been in were reusing assets meaning most of the charactere in those games were copied and pasted, this isn't exclusive to Morrigan.Do the words "copy-and-paste" mean anything to you? Because that's all Morrigan has been in every crossover she was in. COPY. AND. PASTE. At least with the Street Fighter characters, they changed between crossovers. Also, I'm not hypocritical, I'm being serious: if you ask everyone to think of ONE Darkstalkers character, I guarantee that most of them will say Morrigan.
It's sounds like it to be honest.
It wasn't a joke, it was a clip from Morrigan's ending in a game made by Capcom. I feel like you're missing the difference between a joke and something that was from an official game made by Capcom.
Look, if Morrigan got into Smash, I would be OK with that, but that's not to say I wouldn't be disappointed either.
Wow. Maybe if you could say that in a way that didn't sound RUDE AS HECK to me, I would do so.
Word of the wise, if you want to argue that a typo invalidates an entire argument, make sure you spell 'spelled' properly, on that note, make sure you spell 'Thief' properly tooYou spelt "Artist" with an "r" at the end. Your argument is invalid.
Oh no. That explains your reaction. The former...
SSBU x Turtle Beach confirmed. There we go!
Resurrection happened nearly a decade after Fighting Evolution, but you're making it sound like it was right after. That and the fact that Darkstalkers being abandoned was actually Capcom's fault to begin with.
If you don't understand, allow me to explain. See, after Capcom Fighting Evolution, Capcom made a second rerelease of the Japan exclusive PS2 anthology "Vampire: Darkstalkers Collection" called "Darkstalkers: Resurrection". See, this would have sold very well and would've gotten Darkstalkers to come back...
In other words, Capcom being dumb....except there was one problem: Capcom only promoted it in Japan. And nowhere else. Which was probably a big mistake, since Darkstalkers was actually pretty big in the US back in the '90s. And since Darkstalkers isn't big in Japan, but popular in every other country the franchise had games sold in, the sales didn't do so well. And what was Capcom's response whenever we asked for a new Darkstalkers game after Darkstalkers: Resurrection was a flop (thanks to their terrible promotion skills when doing so)?
Capcom before the new bosses: "wElL, mAyBe If YoU hAd BoUgHt DaRkStAlKeRs: ReSuRrEcTiOn, We WoUlD gIvE yOu OnE, bUt YoU dIdN't BuY iT, sO cLeArLy YoU'rE nOt InTeReStEd In A nEw DaRkStAlKeRs GaMe."
Gotta love how you didn't even try to deny my claims of you having double standards.Probably has something to do with her being one of the main characters.
In fact, Morrigan wasn't even meant to be one of the main characters, Demitri was supposed to be the only main protagonist. However, she ended up being so popular to the Darkstalkers playerbase that she became one of the main characters after the first game.
So Morrigan is an example of someone getting more exposue due to popularity but you don't want her, yet you also want Sakura because of a popularity poll.
Double standard much?
To be fair, Wade Callender (The former Gearbox attorney who made the claim that the Medieval Times USB contained... well, you can look it up yourself) walked back this allegation when he dropped his lawsuit in 2019, but Pitchford himself did admit there was porn on the USB.Let’s just say that, for one, he had... not exactly legal stuff on his usb drive...
I think we'll get only one character at E3, but yeah, who knows. I also have the feeling our E3 character could be someone who we barely considered, or at least, barely considered for a E3 reveal. I'm lately feeling like we will get another character from one of the 3rd party series already in Smash, to be honest. I guess all the Chun-Li talk helped with that lol.So, what are we thinking? One reveal at E3, or both at E3?
Personally, based on past precedent I'm inclined to think that we'll get the double reveal that's oh so associated with E3. I'm not gonna lie it's crazy to think that we're possibly coming up on the end of Smash Ultimate so quickly when I feel like there's so many possibilities still being tossed around. Crash, Reimu, Chun-Li, Kiryu, Hayabusa, Doom Slayer, Master Chief, and so many more are possibilities that seem like they could happen in Ultimate and only 2 of them are going to make it... at most. Two of them, one of them, or none of them are all possibilities to be the very last stop on this wild ride and that's kinda lamenting to think about. What a weird feeling.
IIRC it was also because there were some companies interested in acquiring Next Level Games, so Nintendo avoided any risks and bought them. After all they've been a good partner for a while, they did Mario Strikers, Punch-Out on Wii and Federation Forces, I think. At nearly 10 million sales it looks like Luigi's Mansion 3 is the best-selling Nintendo game ever by a Western dev.
So if you were wondering why Nintendo uncharacteristically bought Next Level Games, there's your answer.
I think it's obvious they're gonna continue this series, at least in some way. A new IP selling 10 million is a big deal. If they decide to not continue with Ring Fit they would be super stupid, to be honest.
- Ring Fit has made it past 10 million. Seems like Nintendo may have found a successor to Wii Fit. Remains to be seen whether or not it'll become a franchise, but it's in a good position IMO.
Okay, since everyone's doing that 20-character challenge, I'll give my list (even though not all of them are my MWs; they're also not in any particular order):There are literally hundreds of characters I would be excited to see get into Smash but I’ll try to narrow it down to a top 20 list and limiting it to one character per series:
1) Zegram Ghart (Rogue Galaxy)
2) Rash/Pimple/Zitz (Battletoads)
3) Magus (Chrono Trigger)
4) Illidan Stormrage (Warcraft)
5) Sarah Kerrigan (Starcraft)
6) Velvet Crowe (Tales of Berseria)
7) Xemnas (Kingdom Hearts)
8) Fulgore (Killer Instinct)
9) Sub-Zero (Mortal Kombat)
10) Diablo (Diablo)
11) Medusa (Kid Icarus)
12) Pharaoh Man (Mega Man)
13) Goombella (Paper Mario)
14) Gengar (Pokémon)
15) H’aanit (Octopath Traveller)
16) Jena Anderson (Astral Chain)
17) Impa (Legend of Zelda - OG HW)
18) Bill Rizer/Lance Bean (Contra)
19) Raziel (Soul Reaver)
20) Lu Bu (Dynasty Warriors)
That was a lot harder to narrow down than I was hoping and I still had to leave out a lot of my favorites like Nightmare, Etna, Elma, Nel Zelpher, Death, Lulu, and a ton of others but this is what I ended up with.
Well, since CP release windows are getting shorter (with the exception of Steve, since he needed even more time) as well as the fact that Sakurai stated that we'll have to wait a little longer for the next fighter, it does raise the possibility of both final fighters being revealed at E3, with one being released immediately after and the other being released a month later. So, what are we thinking? One reveal at E3, or both at E3?

Besides probably having a USB full of CP, Gearbox has a history of scummy actions like Borderlands apparently being funded with money they borrowed from Sega for another game based on Alien.Who is Randy Pitchford and how come people hate him?
I don't think that's gonna happen unless there is additional DLC beyond FP2.Well, since CP release windows are getting shorter (with the exception of Steve, since he needed even more time) as well as the fact that Sakurai stated that we'll have to wait a little longer for the next fighter, it does raise the possibility of both final fighters being revealed at E3, with one being released immediately after and the other being released a month later.
Agree with this so much. Really a second game with the ring con alone would be fun.I think it's obvious they're gonna continue this series, at least in some way. A new IP selling 10 million is a big deal. If they decide to not continue with Ring Fit they would be super stupid, to be honest.
-Undertale: surprised it doesn't have one yet, though they'd probably have to do what Pokemon and Octopath Traveler did and combine several characters into one spiritNew topic: What games would you like to see get Spirit Events (as in ones with brand new spirits)? My picks are:
Etrian Odyssey
Other Final Fantasy series (especially FF11)
Master of Orion
Stars in Shadow
The Sims
Crash Bandicoot (if Crash doesn't make it in as a playable fighter)
Five Nights at Freddy's
Spyro the Dragon
Metal Slug
The Elder Scrolls

Man, Battleborn actually looked pretty cool...To be fair, Wade Callender (The former Gearbox attorney who made the claim that the Medieval Times USB contained... well, you can look it up yourself) walked back this allegation when he dropped his lawsuit in 2019, but Pitchford himself did admit there was porn on the USB.
So, if the US Legal System is to be believed, Pitchford isn't a total monster (at least not in that regard), just your garden-variety pervert.
That being said, his assault allegations against David Eddings for wanting royalties for playing Claptrap still haven't been resolved, plus he'll forever look like a bozo for his random Twitter slap fights defending the honour of Aliens: Colonial Marines and Battleborn.
For the sake of simplicity, I'm assuming none of these will get fighters:New topic: What games would you like to see get Spirit Events (as in ones with brand new spirits)?

Thanks for explaining better than I could, I had to rush my post out because I was about to work out. Other notable atrocities by Randy/Gearbox include delisting the original Steam version of Duke Nukem 3D for their own which doesn't include the expansions and Steam Workshop support, and shutting down Battleborn's servers in a way that prevents you from ever playing its singleplayer campaign ever again.
Gearbox embezzled money for Aliens: Colonial Marines to fund Borderland 2. They lied about A:CM.

Looks at MK8's past deal with Mercedes. You know, with how well MK8D continues to sell, I don’t think we’ll be seeing MK9 for at LEAST 7 years
they could even just be like surprise ***** here’s more new content
Wait really? That happened?Randy Pitchford is just living his dream of becoming Jared.
All he needs to do is join Subway and have a crossover comic with Superman.
No, no. I'm not upset about it. And yes, I read the crossed through text. I basically have a set of standards for one series and a different set of standards for another. I'm a complex person.Gotta love how you didn't even try to deny my claims of you having double standards.
Claims like that usually make people explode with rage around here, but you just ignored it. I'm honestly proud because that's a more mature way to do it.
Unless you hadn't noticed and I just unleashed your rage?
Oh how i hope and pray Okami comes backDon’t give me hope that Amaterasu will ever make it in. Please, I love Okami and Okamiden too much to suffer even more hoping we get a revival.
Maybe it’s on the old thread?Speaking of Namco characters, I remember there was a reason why we haven't received many Namco spirits, like someone mentioned that Namco don't like their characters projected as ghosts or something. I don't know. I tried searching for it in this thread but I've come up empty. Maybe it was all in my head but there has to some reason we haven't received any Namco spirits yet.
...So that's how an FDC rep would fight.Third-level black belt in karate
Skilled in naginata combat
That was me who mentioned that; I learned about that from the Pac-Man Wiki's article on Smash Ultimate (though the article also said "speculated").Speaking of Namco characters, I remember there was a reason why we haven't received many Namco spirits, like someone mentioned that Namco don't like their characters projected as ghosts or something. Ah yes, my favourite character development, getting good taste. Now I feel ****ing robbed that she has a basic ***** Japanese schoolgirl outfit instead of something metal or at the very least punk.So I swung by the eShop page for the FDC remakes, and uh...

And before anyone asks, this is still the case in the prequel, meaning karate and naginata skills are consistent parts of the MC and Ayumi's characterization.

Nothing about heavy metal for Ayumi though. Must've developed that between games.
Character development!
