What's the Kong's name? The dark fur Donkey Kong is actually DK's long lost twin brother. He lives in the deepest, darkest parts of Kongo Jungle. They're having a family squabble over Pauline.
Honestly, part of me thinks that Retro deserves not getting enough of their stuff in here if they're going to make people wait nearly half a decade before playing new DKC games.Someone here wondered if this were due the trademark problems with Retro Studios and Nintendo preventing in any Tropical Freeze-related content... feels close to truth over time if nothing happens regarding the current absence of it.
If we don't see Retro's game between either the Game Awards or E3 2019. I'm gonna assume that the company is done for. Shouldn't take this long to crank out games honestly. I hate to say it but especially if it's another DKC game (they already have the engine and HD models to re-use/build off of). Honestly if Retro doesn't show anything soon, if I were Nintendo I would just turn the company into an "assist development" studio (kinda like Monster Games). Monolith Soft can crank out Xenoblade games every 3 years while assisting Nintendo in development with other titles like Breath of the Wild, Skyward Sword, etc. Next Level Games even makes games faster than Retro.Honestly, part of me thinks that Retro deserves not getting enough of their stuff in here if they're going to make people wait nearly half a decade before playing new DKC games.
I mean, I get that they love to make their stuff as detailed as possible, but there aren't any spin-offs to tide people over until their main entries are finally finished.
It doesn't help that they had internal problems sometime ago, too.
Piranha Plant was supposed to be part of the base game, but they couldn't finish the character on time so I can see why they never added a Spirit of it.If Sakurai was still deciding the DLC characters, then yes, this would be the case. But I actually kind of doubt it. Or choose to remain hopeful at the very least. It’s hard, but I kinda lost hope for Dixie since the last Direct anyway....
They've commented on their situation before. Some of the employees feel that they need help doing certain things, but apparently management is being stubborn.Honestly, part of me thinks that Retro deserves not getting enough of their stuff in here if they're going to make people wait nearly half a decade before playing new DKC games.

Your artistic work for the Dixie Kong fanbase is very much appreciated. This is the kind of passion the Dixie Kong fanbase needs, especially going forward. Hopefully, more artists will come forward to show their appreciation for one of gaming's best and longest running heroines. Not exactly fanart, but I made this banner using the TF loading screens and Dixie and DK silhouettes. Figured I'd post it here since i think it looks cool

Who?"The last nintendo all-star"? I'm sorry, I take resentment with that. Lip, Takamaru, and Mach Rider would like a word with you.
The title refers to characters that weren't hard deconfirmed before the last direct/leaks. Toad is an All-Star but had a Mii Costume, part of Peach/Daisy's moveset, and a background cameo in New Donk. Lip really isn't an All-Star IMO barely anyone knows who's she is and even if we do include her she was deconfirmed with a Mii Costume, Takamuru deconfirmed as an assist trophy, Waluigi deconfirmed as an assist trophy, Krystal deconfirmed as an assist trophy, Mach Rider once again I wouldn't consider "all-star" but hey he/she isn't deconfirmed so you got that one. Now that Dixie has been deconfirmed due to the Mii hat/costume as well as spirit (though I personally don't feel spirits deconfirm characters because every 1st party character not created before Dec. 7th, 2018 would be deconfirmed for DLC). I say we should change the title now that we know Dixie's "fate" but I'd still argue besides Toad and Bandana Dee, Dixie is the last well known Nintendo character not added to Smash yet as a playable character."The last nintendo all-star"? I'm sorry, I take resentment with that. Lip, Takamaru, and Mach Rider would like a word with you.
None of those are Nintendo All-Stars, are you kidding?"The last nintendo all-star"? I'm sorry, I take resentment with that. Lip, Takamaru, and Mach Rider would like a word with you.
You are KILLING it with the fanart! It's amazing to see someone show their artistic talent for Dixie, and it's EXTREMELY appreciated. I'm gonna revamp the OP soon and a lot of what you made will be prominent on the post! Seriously, well done.Taking a cue from BKupa666 I tried my hand at making a fighter pack for Dixie! I included 15 tracks and the main stage is from Returns with some TF elements added (including the first world and frozen DK island in the background).
I also did a close up of the stage.
If they aren't then Dixie certainly isn't. I got nothing against Dixie but never in a million years would I dare to suggest that she's more important than main protagonists from unrepresented franchises.None of those are Nintendo All-Stars, are you kidding?
Because people are afraid that their characters are no match for image files that probably aren't any bigger than a few dozen kilobytes.I still don't think shes out of the running yet, theres still a lot suggesting more that shes got a chance than she hasn't. Current fighters still have mii costumes/accessories. Obviously we'll see but I don't see why people are giving up complete hope right now.
You really think characters from obscure games (some of which never even left Japan) are more important than a character who was a leading protagonist in two of the biggest SNES titles? If they aren't then Dixie certainly isn't. I got nothing against Dixie but never in a million years would I dare to suggest that she's more important than main protagonists from unrepresented franchises.

I don't think to be annoying tbhAh, yeah, him. I know who you're talking about. He later changed his avatar and has a signature saying "so happy to be wrong about K. Rool" or something, but I don't remember his screenname. He was annoying, yeah, but I guess what can you do.
Is it only for Brawler? I feel like Swordfighter would make more sense.By the way, an image of the Dixie hat has leaked. I won't post it here, but I will say it does not disappoint. Better get good at Mii Brawler!

Can you post a link? I can't find it.By the way, an image of the Dixie hat has leaked. I won't post it here, but I will say it does not disappoint. Better get good at Mii Brawler!
For when Dixie gets in and DKC2 is her memory.has a Memories article today.
Unfortunately, it's just DKC1 again. The site staff had one job, and they botched it. Look, I get that he debuted in that game, but why not showcase the sequel, in which he became the star and introduced our Dixie?
I hope so, otherwise this'll be yet another dumb oversight on their resume. For when Dixie gets in and DKC2 is her memory.
Closer to swords than fists.Ponytails are like whips tho, not swords.
Wouldn't Mii Gunner be the closest fit to Dixie due to her bubblegum popgun? None of them really are close to her otherwise.Closer to swords than fists.
