Diddy Kong Appreciation Thread: From Dinky to Diddy, From the Jungle to the Brawl.

Diddy should be the first to be added that hasnt already been confirmed. He really should have been before them in the trailer in the first place.

But Diddy wasn't in the trailer because I believe, he doesn't fit into the theme of the trailer. The trailer was in my oppinion more about rivality. And if Diddy would've been in the trailer, DK should be in there to. But seeing as Smash Bros is a cross over game, that wouldn't be the best thing to do because DK and Diddy already "know" Mario (and Wario) outside of Smash Bros.

Plus the fact that Diddy isn't a real suprise character. Pit, Zamus and Snake are.
And Wario and MetaKnight have a real cool intro in the movie, and they are rivals of 2 of the "main characters" of Smash Bros, Mario the icon of Nintendo, and Kirby, Sakurai's own made character.

Diddy would do best if he'd got no attention untill the game is released. Same for other characters, some just better stay out of the spotlights till Brawl is out.

No, Diddy isn't a priority he is just and add-on charcter the originals deserve the spots first and then a few other new charcters. Diddy should be in though just not as a priority.

No I think it's better to just make one big trailer, where all characters are shown which you get in the beginning of the game. Diddy has priority if DK would've been in the trailer, but DK wasn't the best candidate either. But screw it, the trailer was good.

I agree. Diddy is way cooler than Pit, I like him more than Metaknight too.

Diddy is most certainly NOT cooler than Pit OR MetaKnight, IMHO...
But I do agree that he's WAY overdue for a spot in Smash Bros. Diddy FTW!

I don't like Kirby games so I don't care about Metaknight and Pit's games are no where near as good as the DKC series, IMO, I don't see why so many people are excited about Pit, sure he looks cool but that's it.

People are excited about Pit because Kid Icarus was one of the main 4 back in the NES era with Samus, Mario and Link, but he was the only one who didn't get a sequel because certain problems in the original developer team. It's still a great mix game (platforms, backtracking, shooting, RPG), and his setup is clearly exploitable for a next-gen game.

I sure as hell would LOVE to see a new Kid Icarus game!
Diddy is very cool and all, and my favorite character of all time but...
Pit, MetaKnight and Wario are just as deserving as he is, Wario imo even slightly more.

And woody, check page 1. In xianfeng's first post there is a moveset made by me.
Perhaps it's a little too long, but I'd like to hear your comments about it.
