Diddy Kong Appreciation Thread: From Dinky to Diddy, From the Jungle to the Brawl.

Diddy will most likely be in brawl. They're not going to leave Donkey Kong, one of nintendo's biggest franchises, with only one representative.

I put down Starwing on the snes and Lylatwars on the 64, I think those are the PAL names of the games you're talking about.

Actually, yeah it would be intressting. Very intressting even.

But I'd much rather have Diddy alone to, still im not sure if Dixie will make it to Brawl then. But honestly, since the Kirby franchice has now Kirby and MetaKnight and is somewhat smaller then the DK franchice, Diddy is a given for Brawl. With or without Dixie... He will make it.

Whoa thats ****ing good news! Diddy now will be playing kick *** sports instead of boring tennis and golf! :D Which makes me think... Will there even BE a Mario Tennis or Golf for the Wii? Since Camelot has somehow left Nintendo, and Wii Sports being there the chances are low.

Also I just readed the Super Smash move that was added to my moveset. I completly agree with it! Thank you Darkknight07 for putting up this move.

Also xianfeng, I am a lurker at the DKU forum and I saw you where a member there. Now I kinda need your help... When I was like 12 or 13 I was there to and because of hyperactivity I got banned... Now I can only view the forum, but I cant make a account or anything... Can you tell them to unban me? XD

Donkey Kong was the least popular character in SSB64. He is second or third least favorite in Melee. Maybe Sakurai doesn't put a lot of DKC stuff into Smash for a reason... Maybe Diddy was neglected for a reason

I would love to see Diddy in there. I love the tiny characters, makes them Bowser and other big guy players all the more annoyed when they get owned by a tiny character such as that yellow rodent or pink puffball that just swallowed them =)

Well I dunno really. In Smash64 DK was the slowest and the largest character, I can accept why he was last favorite there. But I dont think this is a good reason for not putting Diddy in Melee. I mean this just COULD make DK more populair, or they just really had to make him much better.

Ohh and I agree with atleast Basketball on being not a lame sport to. But really the style of Smash Football is what real kick *** sports are about... No offence this is just my oppion.

diddy is awesome....i wanted him in ssbm from the beginning...so now dat theres another chance for him to be in it i am pretty happy....i see him playing as a pretty fast and acrobatic character....with speeds rivaling foxes...hopefully he makes it in...lets see...peace

That's sakurai's fault for making him a crappy character, and I know that there is a chance Diddy won't be in Brawl what with Nintendo (espesically that dumb *** miyamoto) hating everything rare made, I mean JB proved they hated everything Rare had set up with crappy villains, crappy storyline, crappy expressions = crappy game.

You have to learn how to master DK in order for him to be great, like I did. If you read it in his smash bio it says, "DK can be lethal in the hands of a master". It's not that he sucks it's just that no one feels like spending their time trying to get better with some1 as apparently bad as DK.

Oh..well as a Trophy maybe. Unless you watched that DK show a fear years back..God that was a bad show worse than that Foodon one. Anyways....Diddy as Funky in a alt costume?..Nah.

don't ever, EVER, diss the foodons. the DK show was ok, but it was more music-kiddie stuff. DK's voice actor had a pretty good singing voice, though. Cranky was l337 in that show.

Well...not really, I made the cartwheel Diddy's dash attack. Would seem more naturall to me.

Ohh and Supa Bro, Kirby's dash is terrible in Melee. I wouldnt want Diddy's cartwheel ending up like that. It should be a somewhat strong attack, a bit faster then Kirby's dash attack but unlike Kirby's dash attack, the cartwheel would become faster and stronger when you hit someone (just like in DKC, when you cartwheel into a row of enemies, Diddy's cartwheel is super fast) the attack sorta continues, only being faster... I know... Bad explenation but this is how I want the cartwheel to be. ^^
