Mang, I don't get out of bed for less than 320kbps.
But I'm stoked. I listened to the title track when it was released and it sounded like the Bee Gees having an existential crisis (which I'm really into, apparently).
Yo, it's really good. At first I was concerned because it really has
a lot of James Murphy influence (This isn't a bad thing because James Murphy is fantastic) but it's the kind of influence that doesn't overstay it's welcome, and it still sounds like Arcade Fire. I came into this album either expecting something completely different or something more like the pop-like songs such as Sprawl II in suburbs. I didn't get either, and at first I didn't like it. If you go into this album thinking you're going to get a carbon-cut copy of The Suburbs, then you'll be dissapointed, however, if you're open to something more like New Wave esque you'll definitely like it. There are still some songs on there that sound like they could be on the cut version of The Suburbs (Normal Person, You Already Know, Joan Of Arc) but that doesn't make them good.
Favorites so far are Porno, Flashbulb Eyes, Awful Sound (Oh Eurydice), Here Comes The Night Time and Afterlife.
