I agree Swords that Reach is better than 2 and 3, if for nothing else than the gameplay finally having a spark of new to it. I need to get better online though... Finally had a good game my last game of the night yesterday, but that's not saying a whole lot compared to the other ones. Did get an awesome assassination/plasma grenade stick double kill after jumping of a balcony though XD

I have this huge list of games I'm like "oh man, I need to play that!" then when I sit down to do it, I'm almost immediately bored. No challenge.

Hahaha same here with the 1 player game conundrum.

I get bored with them way too fast unless they have a sweet story or I'm playing for nostalgia purposes (like DKC, Yoshi's Island, or Mario 64 for example can hold my attention for a long time just because they're so fun and lolnostalgia goggles).

Slowly crawling through Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn atm in my spare time on hard mode. Literally like crawling, like never more than on level a day hahaha.

I actually tend to play mostly single player games. The Mass Effect series I could replay over and over again, and many games I barely touch MP in due to lack of people I know to play with. Then games like Reach come around, I pound through the single player for achievements, then play a ton of multiplayer due to not necessitating people I know being on to do so.

On a related note, if anyone wants to play some Reach sometime hit me up on live(same name as on here). Especially if you're down for giving a shot to swords and jetpacks only which just sounds absolutely awesomeXD

I tried KOTOR and I thought it sucked.

Smash actually helped me realize some stuff about games.
By turning off all the maps that I didn't like I realized that I was making the game more fun (for me at least)

After that I just...stopped waiting around for games to be fun. Especially being in college, I'm not going to sink 7 hours into a game on the off chance that you'll be fun eventually!

It's made me way more picky about games, and the ones I do play I usually really really like!

That was a really interesting thing to figure out.

It was just released in Japan. Literally two days ago (officially), but I'm playing the Desmume emulator version. I know -enough- about Pokemon to get by without reading the funny symbols, also using guides on Serebii and PokeJungle.
Great fun.

I played through the half life series on my xbox, loved it to death. It's still better on the pc though. I've never played ME2, i just play mostly reach now. xD Favorite single player game that i've played would probably be Batman: Arkham Asylum. That must have been the only beast batman game ever.

Honestly, I never got into Xbox, and therefore, not into Halo.
What about the online play made it so dominant? I just don't really get how it blew up so big . o.o

Online play is pretty smooth and competitive. When you play online, it helps you obtain the type of players you want to meet. I think it being an actual good FPS also helped. A lot of competitive people are on it. For reach, it's not that different. It's pretty fun

also, don't worry much about the storyline for Reach. I understand that getting into Halo 1-3 storyline is difficult due to either not knowing wtf is going on or it just being boring. Reach adds a new type of storyline that is easy to get into (least for me it did)

You, sir, are incredibly lucky. Do you live there, or are you studying abroad (something I want to do REALLY badly).
But yeah, I suggest White over Black, but that's cuz I like Zekrom better than Reshiram. Also, Black has Wargle (the war eagle) and White has Vuljina (LOLOLOLOLOL I swear I'm not kidding) (skeleton vulture).

Also, apparently there is a new pokemon that gets rapid spin, has its speed doubled in sandstorm, plus a massive attack stat + Stab EQ and other shenanigans. Looks like sandstorm teams will be pretty good this gen.

Yeah its called Doryuuzu.
It's not even the scariest, they went all. ****ing. out. this generation.

There is a new Ghost/Fire type with 145 Base Special Attack Points. That makes it 10 base point stronger than both Alakazam and Porygon-Z.
New Dragon-Type with 147 Base Attack, Fire-Type with 140 Attack and an ability that negates any negative effects of a move...
....yeah its pretty awesomee.

Wow that's nuts. Shame on Gamefreak for making Alakazam even more useless each gen. Having the best non uber SpAtk was his niche... ;_;

Actually weather teams in general should be fun, especially with Ninetales/Politoad (sp?) getting drought/drizzle.
