ENJOY!Spider creep me the **** out.
I stopped reading when soup said he was trained in "gorilla warfare".
Is that like "guerilla warfare", but with gorillas? Donkey Kong coming at you with his coconut gun, firing in spurts? How does a human train for such a thing?
xonar gave me the ideas, and i put them in motion
Wrong quote?I did it once. I realized the situation in that nightmare was so ****ing prepostorous that it had to be a dream. I then jumped out the window and flew away to go play basketball.

Oh yeah definitely man. Most of the lucid dreams that people have are just lower level lucid dreams. There's pretty much 8 different levels. Level 8 being the highest level of awareness and sedation. It's undifferentiated from real life while at the same time god mode.I've only had a "lucid dream" once as well (if you define a lucid dream as 'becoming aware during a dreaming state of being and consequently being able to consciously manipulate the dream). It wasn't anything special though, I more or less realized I was in a dream while someone was about to stab me, and then I pushed myself out into a different room (like, everything around me just shifted into a different room). Think the room was white, but can't remember exactly. Then I forced myself to wake up.
I've heard people have done some pretty intense stuff with lucid dreams, but I'm curious as to whether or not it's actually factual; stuff like flying around on sharks or traveling to other planets.
Sounds like you have it hard.Xonar said:I can never decide on a good avatar or background. They're both ever-changing

Woah, this is pretty cool. Who's my secret admirer? ^_~
That's generally the problem most people have is waking up once they realize they are dreaming. The most important thing is to stay relaxed. Sort of like on Inception when Fischer realized he was in a dream when Cobb convinced him and he had to get him to relax or it would collapse. Also when Ariadne first realize she was in a dream when Cobb first brought her into the dream world and everything started exploding once she realized. Once you realize you have to stay completely relaxed otherwise it will collapse. You also don't want to start manipulating or creating anything right away. You want to first just observe everything around you. Start touching things and looking at your surroundings. But don't like try to fly or anything that will excite you or else you will wake up. It takes a while to get to that level.Oh hot damn we're talking about lucid dreaming? Maybe yous guys might have some advice
I've been trying to lucid dream for a while now (while also putting forth next to no effort to make it happen). I was really interested in the WILD approach, and have certainly felt SOMETHING happen but it never leads into a dream (its hard to describe the sensation, but it feels like everything getting dark and static-y)
Other than that, there's been like 2/3 distinct times where I've realized I was in a dream and the dream just .... breaks. Everything freezes and I can't make it move. The frustration makes me wake up within seconds every time.
