I think you might be the anti-Circus. Or I'm the Anti-BSL.

Quick, which one of us has a goatee?
The only reason I don't is because my school doesn't allow facial hair. Must be you then.

Thor's the only Avengers prequel (because that's what those were), that I really didn't care for. Iron Man was great. Iron Man 2 was pretty good. Captain America was alright. I even liked the Hulk movie with Edward Norton. But Thor just felt like a total mess to me.
I never saw Captain America, and I'm not sure if I saw the Hulk or not. I probably did, but I don't remember. I can't even remember anything about iron man 2 except for "ahh i'm all veiny"

So, with all those movies being prequels, did it build up to an ULTRA AMAZING AVENGERS EXPERIENCE or was Avengers pretty much "just on equal grounds with the prequels"¿

You can't use paypal for premium anymore? Someone should gift it to me, and I'll transfer the equivalent 360 yen aka $4 to your paypal account.

I enjoyed The Avengers quite a bit, and I think watching all of the prequels helped in that regard. It was probably the most enjoyable theatre experience that I've had for any of these movies, though only repeat views will be able to tell me if it beats the Iron Man movies for me.

The plot's thin and certain things definitely feel scripted rather than natural, but overall it was a damn good time. Great characters, great dialogue, great action, really funny and well paced. Seeing it at the midnight show was particularly awesome because the theatre was filled with fanboys, so everybody clapped for all of the "applause break" kind of moments that you expect to find in a movie like this. Made it feel more like an event, you know? It's easy to get swept up in that.

It was a hoot and a half, is what I'm sayin'.

I liked the Avengers...except that Marvel didn't give Hawkeye any air time. I don't think anyone who doesn't know who Hawkeye is has any idea that Hawkeye is, well, Hawkeye. Heck, I don't think any character in the movie says the name "Hawkeye" once. The only back story they gave him was that he apparently saved Black Widow some time ago...but nothing about his origin. Kinda made me sad. :/

Same with Robin. Not once does Nick Fury address Robin as "Robin," so everyone in the audience is left wondering who the girl with the red hair is (the one that isn't named black widow) even after the movie is over.

Actual spoilers:

When you say "applause break," do you mean stuff like the movie kinda going a bit inactive after the Hulk just wrecked Loki's **** right in the middle of his "I'm better than you!" speech? Cause at the midnight premiering that I went to the crowd went ****ing nuts over that.

I think I speak for most people who have seen the film when I say, what other woman?

Also Hawkeye did a grand total of **** all in that film. Hulkbpoundin, Ironmanbshootin, even some jumped up **** wearing the gayest american suit ever with only a shield as a weapon (srsly, who thought THAT was a good idea?) did more.

Thor electrocuted an entire ****in army, Hulk was all green and up in their face like a backfiring bogey and Iron Man nuked a ***in mothership.

Blackwidow spent half the film running AWAY from the hulk, Hawkeye spent half the film fighting AGAINST the avengers - and the ONLY FIGT BLACK WIDOW WON WAS AGAINST THE USELESS TURD BAG THAT IS HAWKEYE.

Swiss has spoken. Let it be known.

Hawkeye did plenty. As a bad guy, he was more successful than the Avengers for most on the movie. As a good guy, he had more screen time than Cap in the final fight.

I hate how when people can't make a critical argument they resort to trolling. This is the reason I hate the internet sometimes. Trolling only promotes ****-posting and inflated egos only for the expense of a couple of cheap laughs, it derails any relevant topic and shouldn't be put up with at all.

Not saying this ever happens as far as SWF, but good god [redacted] needs to learn to objectively moderate instead of just letting it happen.

It's even worse when people just go along with just the sake of hopefully enhancing their e-penis some more, which tends to happen often.

sorry about this rant, just had it on my mind and I always feel like I can come back here.

Exactly. Exactly. EXACTLY.

Robin is an agent of SHIELD that eventually succeeds Nick Fury as the director of SHIELD in the Marvel universe. She is given some face time during the movie, but NO ONE KNOWS WHO SHE IS.

This is her:

Oh, I remember her having red hair for some reason. It's actually brown. Derp.

Anyway, her name is NEVER spoken and her back story is never addressed. It makes me wonder why they threw her in the movie in the first place. It's like..."who the hell is she, and why is she getting any face time?"

I'm a die hard Hawkeye fan since I played the sega genesis game, so I may be biased, but I just absolutely hate how they portrayed Hawkeye in the film. No back story, just some highly skilled archer that gets turned into an evil dude for half the movie. He gets some face time like other characters, but he's more or less some unknown character that you never really get to know aside from his seeming affection for Black Widow. Oh, and he knows how to shoot arrows.

I don't remember a single line of his.

The only two cool moments of his were when he shoots an arrow at someone without looking at them, and then when he shoots an explosive arrow at Loki. But in comparison to Iron Man, Captain, Thor, and Hulk, he's just...man. He doesn't even get a funny line. NOT ONE.

*salt*

I think Captain definitely gets more air time than Hawkeye in the final battle. Captain is just constantly whooping on people when Hawkeye gets 3-4 random seconds of air time shooting someone, then it reverts back to a more prominent and important character.

He probably didn't call her Robin because her name is only Robin in How I Met Your Mother.

Also, there are 6 main heroes in this movie. That's tricky to balance. Someone was bound to get gypped on screen time and back story, and since no one went to see The Avengers just to see Hawkeye, it makes sense that he would be that character. Frankly, I thought we got a decent amount of him, all things considered.

Also, no guys, it's totally cool. Don't use spoiler tags. It's not like the movie just came out and some people still haven't seen it and might not want to know all the twists the movie might take before seeing it.

Precisely. That scene gave the crowd most of their attention and just cheered in amazement.
Clearly, it was the best scene in the movie.

Don't worry about my rant, just some people piss me off and it's near impossible to constructively post when moderators don't do anything and let topics get bed-ridden and then moved to off-topic.

It's one of the better songs out there, and is actually a reflection of the game in question. A pretty good and thorough critical analysis can be found here: http://www.destructoid.com/final-fantasy-vi-s-dancing-mad-a-critical-analysis-157570.phtml

The game is about kefka from start to finish and the song reflects that.

Pretty good.

Oh, and while the orchestrated version is my favorite, this version has a special place in my heart:

Can you stop being a douche? I just asked a question, as it would explain why you have trouble with grammar. Do you think it was an unfair assumption?

Are you serious? People asked me that question too many goddamn times before and I already said no.

I'm pretty sure you saw that answer, so i'd at least expect you to know.
If not, sorry. But I cannot not take your questions seriously after all this time.

Just don't jump to the worst goddamn conclusion. There's no excuse whatsoever for being so confrontational when that question comes up. You almost certainly get asked that a lot because that's how it looks.
