@ Redd, I'd call it pretty random. If I recall correctly, he beat raynex's fox and then lost to DJ. Bit weird if you ask me, but hey, I dunno. DJ has a whack *** style and it's totally possible that he just whooped Savedge with his shenanigans. I clearly should've just kept the numbers to myself and I genuinely regret posting them now. That being said, you're both really good and he's been practicing with me a lot lately. Guess we'll see what happens if/when you guys play. And yea we did sandbag the tournament. I regretted it later (I'm just full of regret =( ) because I ****ed up the losers bracket. Wish I had realized how big a **** I was being and just forfeited earlier. The allure of getting really drunk and playing Melee with NoVa is way stronger than the allure of staying sober and trying to win a NoVa tournament. I definitely come to see people, not to see if I can beat local players...Teams being the exception. I dunno why, but I always try hard in teams. I just love 'em too much. Next time I just won't enter the tourney if I'm all ****ed up.
@G-reg, I didn't decide that I was number one on the power rankings. Redd and whatever other group of people came up with it and last I was told, I was #1 on the rankings. That was before Chillin came out of retirement though. Either way, I don't think that calling me "delusional" is justified here. Last I heard, you beat Azen and did well at Syphers. Despite the fact that you're about as inactive as Savedge, you may very well be way higher on that list. I don't know. I really should've kept the numbers in my head because I was just trying to decide how reasonable the crew battle would be. I feel like NoVa has the advantage overall. Concerning Savedge's placement on the list...It's obvious that you don't approve of my reasoning for putting him at #5. That's perfectly fine. That aside, do you actually disagree with where he is on the list? As far as folding under pressure, we very well could. Who knows? I think it'd be a fun crew battle nonetheless, for pride and for money. We each have our great players and our rusty players, but they're all quite good. As far as not really caring about ****...Yea, you're right. Chillin thinks he's the best. I think I'm the best. Chu might think he's the best. Who knows? It's kind of whatever as far as I'm concerned. I'm more worried about where I rank nationally (if at all). I do love your reason for editing your post lol. It's totally CammyCakes though, not Cam Cakes. Setting aside the fact that I've clearly pissed you off or you're just trying to pick a fight with me with your big sexy #69 post... I miss you. <3 Come play LoL/Melee with us some time. I was telling Chillin last night about how I hadn't seen you in forever. Pretty sad I missed you and Billy. =/
@Chillin, I said pretty clearly that in my opinion, the top 4 numbers are reasonably interchangeable. I just think it depends on the day. In my experience from playing you, there's a very good chance you could knock me out of a tournament or place higher than me. There's a pretty good chance of the opposite happening as well. Same goes for Tope and Chu (except the part where tope might beat Chu heads up because that just never happens). So we can reverse the numbers, set aside my personal bias, call you and Chu the best and move on since I'VE CLEARLY UPSET YOU SO VERY MUCH. <3
Seriously though, we should do that crew battle. I didn't mean to bring it into unfriendly terms. I think it's a cool idea. Also, TCB, I think Savedge gets underrated too. Like G-reg said..It's easy to play a person at their best and be like DAMN THIS ***** ***** and then watch him choke and suck it up in tournament. I dunno what Savedge's deal is. Sometimes he takes it seriously, sometimes he doesn't. Whether or not he should be #5 or 6 or even 10 on that list, I respect Savedge for the fact that he'll come play the **** out of Melee just because he loves the people and loves the game. He doesn't get to travel to a ****load of tournaments, but his passion for the game and his willingness to practice is astounding. I've been talking Savedge up for the past few months because he's gotten so much better. I really think he'll show it at the next local. Poehlcat was getting legitimately good for a while and then we all entered our LoL phase. He just entered a much much deeper LoL phase than Me or Tope.xD With Milkman coming to practice a lot lately, he's honestly been impressing the hell out of me. I think he might be better than Poehlcat at this point, but I guess it's hard to say.
