so i see lots of ppl use this and i use it on occasion just to mix it up but what are the actual advantages to using this cuz it seems to just slow me down. dancing f-air=single dancing blade slash in air just in case some1 dont know

this is a gimmick... not useful...

don't mix this up in your arsenal... but it is a nice parlor trick. Do it friendlies. Don't do it in tourneys. It's punishable... and it's over a garbage approach. (compared to others)

it's a terrible approach... good for turning you around in the air (better than bair). kind of good for preparing for someone to be where the dancing blade will be if you're in the air. a wavebounced one is kind of good for a defensive style. some people use it to set someone up for a dolphin slash stagespike. like you see them in position for it, run off, reverse db them, and follow with upb. that's about it...

they don't do "dancing fair"... for DS set up... and I believe Bair is better... Bair has a good enough knock back to stage spike on it's own. Where as DB interupts (in 4 frames) what ever the guy was doing...

I like bair, it might just be a style...

wavebounced DB is almost enheard of, i've not seen it incorporated in any matches. Correct me.

Outside of recovering, the only potential use I have seen it for is setting someone up for a dolphin slash....but it's not something I recommend doing often. Every so often, it's like an extra hit, but against a skilled player with a character who has fast aerials, you'll get screwed.

i dunno you are right about not doing dancing fair for DS setup but some people do use it. personally yes, i use bair. i think EL uses wavebounced db? i dunno he said he kind of liked it one time on a youtube vid or something... maybe not anymore. i did see in a combo vid once that someone was replacing some of their fairs with 1 hit db's and they said to a commenter that it was to reduce decay... but now that i look back on it they weren't as good as i thought they were.
