Are the modified controllers, like with the PS3 stick and removed springs, LEDs and such allowed in tournaments? Also, before and after the modifications, do you check that the controller is in good condition?

I personally have not been to a big tournament like Apex, EVO or KoC but the tournaments I have been to here in WA nobody has cared/inforced any rule about not using a modified controller. Really the only thing people care about are actual functioning mods like Rapid fire/Turbo or things that change gameplay. My mods do none of that.

I always check to make sure the controller works before I start working with it, then I clean it to prepare working with it, mod it, make sure it works then ship it off.

Well then, I'll seriously consider ordering a controller from you later :)
It's nice to know someone's keeping controller modification alive for a console over a decade old.

What Terry said, if there are no mods that actually give you some sort of special ability or extra effect (remapped buttons, short hop button). We don't do these mods nor really intend too.

Someones gotta do it lol :) And I do enjoy making something I know someone else will really appreciate and value, so it is really important to me to do the best job possible with your controllers.

BTW, a note to anyone wondering, I ALWAYS use controllers in good condition. Every controller is tested for dysfunctionalities and are guaranteed to come with tight sticks.

Could you guys potentially do a controller like this:
Sanded handles and C-stick
Fan inside
Shoulder buttons left intact (I like having both springs)
PS3 stick
Black everything, buttons, D-pad, and all

This looks super ****ing sexy. I'd take it to the movies. how much would this be?

Here is a black controller with gray buttons and a Black PS3 stick. Turned out great, it was just a quick little thing I thought you guys might want to see.
I'm wondering if you still have this in stock. if so, how much is it? if not, how much is it? also, would you be able to keep the original anolog stick?

I have a request, but I just wanna know how much it'll cost before I order anything.

Blue front shell, Red Back Shell, and In Black, A Picture of Olimar, like what you did with the C.Falcon controller

Send me a PM. Just a note, colored buttons are not guaranteed to last for extended periods of time (anywhere from a few weeks to a few months usually)

Send me a PM. Also indicate whether you would like a silhouette of the character (like the c.falcon) or an actual image (in which case I would need to order a decal)

Hey, I'm looking to get a controller painted, want to make one that looks like the Arizona flag to drop into a prize pool at a tournament in a few months. Id want it too look something like this, but not done crappily in paint obvs.
arizonaflaggcc.png

If this is doable just tell me and I'll send you a pm with the best flag reverence i can find.
Btw whats the BB coding for spoilers? I can't figure out how to make it work.

Edit: Just saw you're all booked up for paint orders. Still gunna leave this here, I might try to make it myself and see how it goes.

As much as I enjoy the idea of these projects and working on them, they really never seem to turn out the way intended unfortunately. I see this and I think about how I could do it, but errors both in and out of my control have always seemed to get in the way and ruin every single attempt at these sorts of projects that involve lots of tape, designs, and colors. Sorry man, I wish I could help you, but I really can't do it..

If you don't want to try your hand at the project yourself, Im sure there are other smashers who would be willing to maybe try something like this.. Just search around.

First off, and on a completely different tone than the rest of this post,
Today marks the :happysheep:ONE YEAR :happysheep:anniversary of this thread.
Also, Happy New Years :troll:

Alright, now what I needed to say:
For everyone who has placed an order, Im sorry for the recent delays. Family commitments and many school related long term projects have occupied a lot of my time, not to mention the inclement weather which does not allow me to paint. If you have placed an order recently and expect it very quickly, Im a bit backed up and need some time to process the other ten controllers I have to get done (literally). I have taken up too many responsibilities lately, and now I am in a position with orders all over the place.

Thanks everyone for dealing with me and allowing me time in these times, I appreciate your patience. If you have placed an order, it will be completed in due time, but expect some delay.

And finally, this does mean I am not accepting any more orders at the moment.

EDIT: I will take controller orders without paint jobs, LEDs, or fans if I have the shell colors you want in stock..

Can't do the clear shells right now. I only have 2 clear bottoms, and those are reserved for LED orders I have pending atm.

BTW, so all of you know, (single shell prices for the moment)

Clear back shells - $10 Front - $50
Indigo, black, silver shell - $2.50
Orange shell - $5

Alright, so we got a new mod available for ordering (when orders are back up of course). Had it specially ordered, and now I have decided to put it up for sale for all of you.
It will be included with both the SSBB and SSBM controllers. You can also find this description on my site and in the first post...
Rounded Analog - This mod will round the analog side octagon of your controller to a near perfect circular shape. This will allow you to achieve more precise angles with moves such as the firefox, and allows a more fluid movement since the octagon sides are not present to restrict player movement. I am confident that you will prefer this feel over the regular octagon shape. This is, in my opinion, the optimal non-hardware modification along with the replacement of the GameCube stick. Although not as noticeable, you may also opt for this option for your c-stick, too.
It will cost $10 (atm)

Cool beans. Feedback appreciated, as always.

Got a brand new controller in, Black in color. $65 controller build starting price (by request) you must order some sort of mods or customization with it too..

I still need a bit more time before I can accept orders again. Both myself and Terry are pretty occupied with life atm, so it needs to wait a bit longer for those of you curious in ordering.

For future reference for all of you, I will still accept orders which do not require fan, LED, or paint jobs. I will go fix this in the previous post.

Sure, just know that I can't start yet if you want me to do the above

I know you aren't taking orders now, but I have a question for a possible future order. Would I be able to get a controller with Emerald shells (or just maybe, the Symphonic Green, as unlikely as that is)? I'd prefer that over a painted controller because my hands always get real sweaty when I play games.

OK, that sounds good. Just let me know if you ever get them in stock again!

Also, is there any chance of you being able to get the Symphonic Green shell?

VERY unlikely, sorry

Whats cheaper? A Paint job or shells?
Usually non-painted, unless you are getting a rare color shell (emerald)

Hey, I'm looking to get a custom controller, with the shell of a clear top and clear bottom. I want a few LEDs in there, and the rumble gone. Is this something you can do?

I'm broke and can't find a job, the tools I was using before were my old roommates so until I actually get tools, I can't do a damned thing. ;_;
