I rose a couple thousand points since my last post, which is hard to tell because of inflation. I was stuck at a certain number, but thanks to the 3.1.0 patch I was able to surpass my limit. I came close in 3.0.1, but the grind is real. And say what you will about GSP, but I'm just starting to see moderate improvement in my game during locals. I'm real happy right now, because I am exactly 100k points above the points need to first enter elite.
*EDIT* . I updated the picture. I did a little but more winning. This patch is wonderful for the shotos.

I hate how sometimes you just have to be lucky with the matchmaking, a lot of it probably doesn't even look right, because I wanna play Team Matches the most, but it lumps me in 3-Man FFAs & Duels the most. 3-Man FFAs are absolutely annoying when some people just play the long game at a distance while you're in the middle.

Anyone have any idea what the current elite gsp is for him?

Dude tell me about it my main has successfully avoided the es by as much as a million just from a 6 game losing streak only to need 10 wins just to break even.

When you're within 10000 of the threshold that's more accurate close...

But I don't wanna get es with my main cause then I'll stop using him

I think ignoring GSP is the hardest ask Nintendo makes of us.

200000 gsp short is not really "close" though..

Dont be mistaken it is close considering how many points you get per win

Or maybe I just gain that much because of my absurd roster GSP since I have 2/3 of the roster in Elite Smash. I really have no insight on how this **** works. Maybe your MMR is your roster MMR. Because I start gaining less the closer I get to my Roster MMR.

I think your W/L ratio on a character has something to do with it. I play 10 characters with over 150 batttles in QP and I think the volume plus whatever stats the your opponent has plus the overall ranking for each are in the mix

It's definitely going to effect the swing you gain / lose. 10 total battles your GSP can go from 59k to 1.2 mil 1000 battles later you will be where your skill tends to be.

I faced an Ike today with a GSP 4,969...something.. Didn't win a single match although i got very close a couple of times. My ness now just a bit above 4.9 mil.

YB, the Japanese Samus/Dark Samus main has the highest GSP for both characters. His GSP is so high that even after winning, it doesn't increase. Another Samus main, Sitani, had GSP as high as 4.97+ million. My Samus was at 4.944 million yesterday, though it probably increased. My Dark Samus was at 4.938 million yesterday.

While playing on stream, Nairo officially saw his GSP stop increasing with Palutena. He would win, and it just stayed the same at 4,983,984.

This actually kind of validates the GSP algorithm. Given enough time and enough matches, the algorithm successfully identified the best Palutena player on the planet, and that's a rather important result.

Hmm thats weird. I don't think the highest GSP was anywhere near 4.9 mil 6 months ago

It prob increased as more ppl got the game and ranked lower than u idk

I find it funny that my roster GSP is exactly the same as yours, yet my current max character GSP is like ~450k GSP lower than yours.
