Correction, it was originally announced as a launch title in MAY 05 when Nintendo officially stated that there was going to be a SSB3. . . . and this happened before Sakurai even agreed to make the game.

As Sakurai said, they were probly just going to throw in some new characters and add Online if he didn't agree to work on it. . . so by all means SSB3 could have been a launch title if that happened.

So heres the deal, the game hadn't started development at all at that point in time and Sakurai wanted to do more than just "add characters and online play" so SSB3 wasn't a launch title. In fact, thats not a delay seeing as A) we didn't even know when the Wii was to come out at that time and B) They weren't even working on the game at the time. . . .(how do you delay a game that isn't even in the works?)

And Sakurai has said that it's coming to Japan (at the least) in 07. . .thats the only date we have and he seemed to be very much sure of this.

Regardless of the details, it was still delayed.

......I'm getting the feeling that Sakurai will have a lot of explaining to do if Tingle turns out to be in.
But... it *does* look like just a minigame. That, I can live with. As long as I don't have to fear my favourite characters.. *shudder*... being under Tingle in the tier list.

... being part of a minigame would be adequate for the character. Appease his fans and stay true to the character.

I totally agree. Tingle is awesome, he could have some good attacks, and would beat Toad up. Aside from that, his fighter stance would be him twirling around throwing confetti while saying" Tingle Tingle Kaloo Limpa." (Tingle pwns all)

For the last time, it has screen shots of Brawl on the top right and a huge Mario, Wario, and Snake... It is definitely about Smash.
And Dyce, thats not true because a lot of Japanese stuff is like that and he doesn't have to tell us info because E3 is around the corner.
