No offense to Pokémon hype, but the Smash hype is much bigger. It always will be, because Smash reveals are an event that don't happen a lot, whereas new Pokémon game news has happened on a nearly monthly basis since Black & White were announced.

Not saying Umbreon isn't good. It's just normally too busy using Foul Play for its offensive move. With Swagger, before that was banned.

Scizor is also a good choice due to Psychic resistance, and commonly uses Pursuit.

It isn't. Corocoro's statement was amended to say they would only be covering what is known at the time of release.

We went through this with Coro Coro in 2008 with Brawl.

Coro Cor claimed they'd show the entire roster 3 weeks before that game launched.

The only thing "new" we got was Sheik 3 days early, aka the last unconfirmed starter character.

That's it.

At best we'll get all the starter characters revealed that haven't already been revealed.

CoroCoro didn't revealed Sheik, Famitsu did.

They're trusted with Pokemon exclusives pretty often. Same with Pokemon GET TV.

I found the leakers twitter and he's not saying anything related to Smash. Judging from his twitter he didn't feel like leaking anything except Pokemon stuff and stuff from a popular card game. Like I said, since these leaks come from people with early access to the magazine, there's going to be more than one person with access to them and I think we'll get the Smash pages in a few days at least.

For reference, CoroCoro is just a children's magazine. It's for younger gradeschoolers, focusing primarily on younger-rated games, anime & manga.

Pokemon gets a lot of exposure there because it hits the major intended demographic. Youkai Watch gets featured in it a lot too.

So the reason nothing usually comes from them aside from Pokemon is because most of the information is not relevant to the people who actually leak it.

I love mega Lopunny's design! And normal fighting with Scrappy is amazing if you think about it. Ghosts were normally immune to both its stabs but now they are not, and Steel/ Rock types are not safe switch ins due to its fighting stab coverage <3 hopefully it gets High Jump Kick. Fairy/ Dragon is crazy good defensively/ offensively, and mega salamence looks like a crescent moon. Gimme some smash news plox!

At best, we may see new pics of stages, perhaps? But expecting any huge reveals is probably hoping for too much. Doesn't seem like Sakurai's style to update the site with new character info by waiting for the release of a magazine, especially one that gets leaked all the time.

I just don't think there would be new stuff, but I wonder if they can tease something. Just don't talk TOO MUCH about the Paper Mario stage and it should be fine (those teases logic are so confusing at times I swear).
