The problem with the whole world uniting is identities get really lost in that kind of mix. Think about it. People in the US are pushing for that stuff, and hardly anyone else aside from other western style modern countries. Were also pushing everyone to modernize which goes hand in hand (in most cases) with westernizing and the whole people uniting thing too. There is more than enough evidence to show that people have to change their identity in such cases of modernization.

Even genetically, interbreeding homogenizes the species, lowers the variety of alleles and genetic traits, and the species is less capable of evolving/changing whatever.

My advice? Every school of thought out there has some gaping holes in it (some more than others).
