if you think about it connor has 2 choices:

1. Pay 8 bucks venue, plus entry for doubles and singles, plus food. For a tourney series that didnt impress him too much,

2. Make money hosting a tourney which he will have help in and get to hang out with the coolest TO ever, and chill with brawl people who dont care what you play and already respect connor b/c he's too cool.
