I never saw the show. The only thing I know of it is when I unlocked the koma of the butterfly guy in Jump Ultimate Stars, I thought it was a really gay version of the Monarch from Venture Bros. The main character wasn't that good a fighter in that game either.

the fastest ALttP time I've seen is a 3 minute run but it uses a glitch, lol. I watched that 1:47:00 run in full and it was incredible.

EDIT: If you haven't watched either run yet, the main reason they can do these so fast is the characters walk faster due to an emulator trick. By pressing left+right or up+down at the same time, they somehow walk faster than normal. I might be wrong on that though, it might be a one frame left, one frame right, etc. to abuse the startup animation of Link's walk.
