Randomly feel like posting about music.

So a few months ago I stumbled across Hoodie Allen and now I'm on a bus ride and am listening to a bunch of his stuff. A lot of it is rough around the edges, but on the whole I have been enjoying it. Here's some stuff:

A few weekends ago, my girlfriend and I went into NYC to a small indie venue to see a friend from High School's band. As it turned out, they were the last band in a 5 band setlist so we showed up at 8 and they weren't on until midnight. , anyway, they actually put on a hell of a show and I've been enjoying them a lot, they're called Otis Heat and here's a couple songs:

So, as you can tell from looking at the comments in those videos, the redheaded guy with a beard is apparently a social studies teacher and his students apparently get a kick out of seeing him all goofy on youtube. Well, in concert, he was literally dancing so hard that is pants broke at the seams and were basically just tattered rags by the end of their set when he came up to sing the lead part of their closing number which basically just cracked everyone in the audience up . I dunno, I guess I'm just a sucker for bands that can get into playing for a < 100 person audience, but it was really quite excellent.

So yea, I guess the tl;dr is that I'm basically now a hipster and will only like bands that none of you have heard of, deal with it.
