This game is definitely growing on me. Starting to get use to everything. This has much more potential competition wise compared to Tcon1. But it would be cool to get some more SWF guys on here.

One of the things I like about this game is that High Voltage Software is actually able to patch it to fix glitches, which is rare, if not unheard of among Wii games. I'm looking forward to a smooth multiplayer experience.
I would bet on them getting the glitches out in about a month. They are patching like crazy. (3 in less than a week) to make this a great game, but these things take time.

mixed impressions so far, gotta get used to all the changes. Probably didn't help that my first game was against all high level guys including one level 60 >_> we need to get some friendly private matches going like the old days

link to the old tB forums/xat for setting up games again: http://z3.invisionfree.com/The_Conduit/index.php?act=idx
O_o I haven't even seen a 60 yet...

Agreed. I hope we have enough to set up tB and have it be good.

I added everyone, my FC is: 4126-5357-6202

I've been trying to use the phase rifle and I'm failing. :) I do well with my other setups, but I still go negative with my phase rifle... but it's so cool! It will probably be better once I get phase rifle tuning. But really I should be able to kill them before they can react.

I'm thinking of using the weapon that lets you turn invisible, but I'm not sure if I should.
I bought it and didn't like it. You might though. My favorite gun atm is the hive cannon, but I want to be good with the phase rifle so I can adjust to some maps. There are still a bunch of weapons I want to try though, so we'll see....

I bought the Hive Cannon, the Deatomizer, and the Flash Grenade. I'm doing decently in team deathmatch games, so hopefully, I'll have enough credits to get what I want soon enough. By the way, I added you. I'm not sure if you got that request or not.

Return of the bureau? Anyway I am waiting on this game. I don't have internet right now and the multiplayer was the best part of the last game.

I added you too. Something weird is going on with my kinect 24 function of the wii... I'll try to figure it out and re add you.

If there is enough interest, I think so. I can't figure out my password to the forums though, So I'll have to make a new account.

I'm really starting to enjoy this game. A few weapons feel op atm, but I want to wait a little while longer before demanding a nerf. Of those in question, the shrieker seems the most OP. But I don't use it, so I can't tell for sure. Progress with the Phase rifle is very encouraging, I'm almost 1/2 way to the phase rifle tuning.

It appears to have worked. That, or the other person I added from here accepted the request. I have yet to run into a Shrieker player. I hope that doesn't change.

Yeah, it worked. Shrieker players aren't fun. prepare to be consistently 3 shot killed by them. But they aren't unstoppable. It's just tough for me because I've almost 100% converted to my phase rifle class (love that thing) and they can move a lot faster than you while still maintaining high killing potential. I just grumble and revenge kill.

I'm not too worried about tB being not good enough anymore. I was on the B team in the first, and I did very well against a couple players from gamefaqs who were supposed to be good.

So, people need to start buying this game.... on VGChartz it was said that sales were 25K? Thats horrible. I'm hoping that Best Buy, and Wal-Mart will be picking this game up soon because the only place you can find it is at GameStop?

Anyhoo, I created a tB team on GB already so when we do get people, they can join it asap. The ladder technially is open for matches, but the settings haven't been released yet so matches can't really be played. Heres a link to the page (I'm assuming posting a link to GB is ok since MLG owns it?)

http://gamebattles.com/wii/conduit-2/team/the-bureau/

Seriously, starting telling your friends from SWF to buy this game, we need to get this active, I'm so sad when I go to the thread, and it's the same 3 people posting lol. I'd love to see this game get 10 active SWF players on here or more.

I'm working on making a GB account now, I haven't received the confirmation email yet. The thing timed out when registering me, so who knows if it actually worked. Also, I think shared stock rather than team deathmatch should be used for GB. I don't want to see people killing themselves in a pinch. Is this clan only for swf users or will it be open to the public? I haven't seen a lot of old players post here in ages.

And I'll try to improve my post quality so it doesn't make you so sad lonejedi. :)

The quality is fine, i just want to see other people post is all. Btw, the clan is open to just SWF right now. Engel said he would be down, I think as soon as summer starts the ladder will pick up a bit.

Agreed. The first game wasn't the greatest, but the second's made some serious improvements. The campaign's less repetitive (albeit more cheesy) and the multiplayer's the most solid package out of any first-person shooter currently on the Wii. You two want to play sometime? Just give me a time and I'll be on.

This is bothering me. GB is being silly. I tried this several times on multiple browsers. Does some see something I don't? GB won't let me register. :/

on brighter note, I have phase rifle tuning. It makes some difference, but doesn't instantly make the phase rifle incredibly better.

I'm going to get online now. I need to earn some credits so I can unlock the Drudge skin.

April 28th, 2011 - Patch Notes:
  1. Revive Bug Fixed - There were certain situations that caused players to not be revivable - This will fix both Online Multiplayer and Invasion Mode
  2. More Deathmatch! - For both Team modes, we always offer at least one TDM and one grab bag mode.
  3. Negative Credits Workaround - There was at least one player who was able to play through the entire game and end up with negative credits, then forever be stuck in negative-credits-land. We now check to see if anyone's credits are negative, and reset them back to zero so they don't have to start a new profile.
  4. Punch Through Walls Fix - Fixed the ability to melee through walls.

I don't know lone this game screams bargain bin in a couple of days which is probably when I will snatch it up. I will admit though I got my 50 bucks worth with the last game. I think the main thing is that this game really lacks the hype the first one had. It also had much stiffer competition.

I will let you know when I get it, so I can join up with tB again despite being terrible. I was getting better though.

I know this is going to sound like some kind of advertisement, but please buy it new. The game only sold 25,000 copies in its first week. High Voltage needs the support. They're also really active on GameFAQs and communicate with the players quite regularly about updates and fixes. They deserve it. Maybe I should shoot them a PM to register here.

HVS is really cool. I emailed them telling them specifically what I liked and didn't like about the game. in 24 hours they replied with a personalized email thanking me for my support and talking about their efforts to fix things I was concerned about.

And don't worry about being good metal. A little practice goes a long way and once you get some good play time in you will surprise yourself with how well you do. If you are concerned about jumping into multiplayer and getting rolled, play through story first and scan everything you can. you will be able to start out with a top notch setup.

Also, anybody have suggestions for a good close-range secondary? I was using mp5k, but I think I'll try out the usp, the mp5k isn't doing it for me. And I can't seem to use the HVS .45 at close range worth a darn. No scope phase rifle kills are very cool, but not consistent enough yet, and I think it does less damage, I didn't one-shot this guy with armor on when I one shot everything when scoped. I'm fine with mid range.

What kits are you guys using at this point? I am running mostly phase rifle, mp5k, flash grenades(only until I get the 50 lights out medals, I need something that can kill up close, thinking radiation grenades), phase rifle specialization, phase rifle penetration, quickness, and phase rifle tuning (used improved melee until i got tuning).

I also want to buy the cyborg character, but I'm waiting until I get 100k for the achievement first.

Right now, I'm running SPAS-12, MP5K, frag grenade, Ballistics Focus, Quickness, and Improved Melee. Seems to be working out well. Just got the Massacre medal for the first time. I'm looking to get the AEGIS Device and its specialization soon.

EDIT: When you're in an Annexation match where things go back and forth constantly for a while, then you single-handedly carry your team to victory, you start to appreciate just how awesome this game can be.

I've been using the Spas as my main go to weapon, using metal legs, light armor, quick reloads, and the 2 main weapon perk to have a scar on. I'm prob going to switch out one of these for better melee at some point, but how much of an impact does the better melee have? Also, I'd be down for playing tomorrow around 9 PM central time? I'll talk to engel.

I should be able to join late. I'm spending Friday night with my girlfriend, but we won't be too late, so depending on how late you guys play...

I feel like improved melee gives me enough extra range to make a difference. You can even "out space" people in a melee fight. I also want to try out blinding power, but I haven't unlocked it yet. And supercharger makes you go significantly faster, I just got that yesterday as well.

And good luck with that aegis device Serris, it looks like a weapon most people don't really know how to use, it'll take some getting used to, but I bet it can be good with enough practice. Just watch out for people like me who like to come up and melee people who use the shield. Then when you melee back I shoot you. or I'll just shoot your feet to begin with. If you can figure out how to deal with that you'll be really good.

How do you guys make the spas work? I shoot someone, with both ballistics upgrades, and it just doesn't kill for me. and if it's at the longer end of close range sometimes 2 shots wont do the trick. does the alt fire make the spread stay closer together?

I can't really explain how to shoot it lol. I literally just aim for as much of the body as you can, then swarm in and finish them off with a melee. I'm assuming when I upgrade melee, it should be even better.

I typically use the MP5K for ranged targets and save the SPAS-12 for when I'm sneaking around or charging into a firefight. It's unbeatable at close range, but anything beyond that, use your secondary.

it's rumored tpc launcher and shrieker were slightly nerfed in the most recent patch, so the shotgun might do better comparatively in close quarters combat. I'd like that, it seems like the spas would take more skill than spamming explosive rounds in the general direction of your opponent.

I plan to be back around 10:30 central time, so if you guys are still playing then I'll try to join your game. I tried to join serris' game yesterday but had no luck. Hopefully it will work tonight.

Annexation and Team Deathmatch are my favorite game modes. I'm starting to notice the effectiveness of the Hive Cannon when you use its alt-fire. I'm replacing the SPAS-12 with it next chance I get. Speaking of which, does anyone else feel that the SPAS-12 could do with a buff to its close-range capabilities? Even with Ballistics Focus, at anything other than point-blank range, it takes upwards of three shots to kill someone.

I definitely agree, those games were some of the most fun I've had, even though I generally like bigger games. Thanks, you and engel make the spas look way better than I think it actually is.

But I do like how without planning it at all you guys have become more CQC players and I've become more of a long distance specialist. makes for some nice balance. And next time we're on chat I'll tell you guys tips against the phase rifle.

You know, if it weren't for the fun little feature where you can activate the ship's engines and fry everyone in that part of the map, I would loathe Crash Site.

I've never gotten a kill with those those engines...

The problem with that idea is that GS just gives you chump change for games. :(
Unfortunately true. :/ it will cut down the price a bit though.

Played through some of the campaign earlier... pretty generic/lame imo. But I have gotten like 50,000 credits so far from it and unlocked some upgrades for free by scanning things - deatomizer, ammo belt, quickness, and mending. And I had also bought metal legs and improved melee so hooray for actually having some loadout options now.

Anybody know the OPer? It'd be nice to update the OP with the chat link, stuff about the clan, friend codes, etc...
