Eyebrawl - 11/23/13 - 10AM - 9PM

It's time for the fourth tournament in the series, Eyebrawl!

The tournament will take place in Wolf Law room 307, the same room as Block and Roll.

I haven't really enforced this in the past because it hasn't presented such a large problem before, but I will be DQ'ing people if I can't get in contact with them within 5 minutes of calling the match. If you go to get food, bring it back with you. If you have to leave the venue for some reason, let me know so we can figure out if you'd be in danger of holding anything up.

EVENTS:
Brawl Singles Pro Bracket
Project: M Singles
Melee Singles
Brawl Doubles
Project: M Doubles

All events will be Double Elimination brackets, subject to change due to small numbers of entrants though.

FEES:
$5 Venue fee - I will waive this if you bring a full setup (TV + Wii + Brawl/PM)
$10 entry to all Singles events, $5 per person ($10 per team) for all Doubles events.

RULES:
Brawl:
•MK Legal
•Stagelist:
-Starters:
-- FD, BF, SV, Lylat, Yoshi's Island: Brawl
-Counterpicks:
--PS1, Castle Seige, PS2, Frigate Orpheon
•Striking is P1 - P2 - P2 - P1, winner granted a stage ban
•All sets are Bo3 except WF's, LF's and GF's which are Bo5

Project: M:
•Stagelist:
-Starters: First page bottom row, striking is P1 - P2 - P2 - P1 - P1 - P2
-Counterpicks: First page minus Lylat, with PS1 as a legal counterpick.
•Doubles modifications: Yoshi's Story is replaced by SSE: Jungle as a starter and is otherwise banned. Striking is T1 - T2 - T2 - T1
•Winner is granted 3 stage bans
•All sets are Bo3 except WF's, LF's and GF's which are Bo5

Melee:
•Wobbling Legal
•Stagelist:
-Starters:
-- BF, FD, FoD, DL64, YS
-Counterpicks:
-- PS1
•Striking is P1 - P2 - P2 - P1, winner granted a stage ban
•All sets are Bo3 except WF's, LF's and GF's which are Bo5

Tentative Schedule:
10:00AM - Venue opens - Setup - Signups start for Brawl Doubles, Project: M Doubles
11:00AM - Brawl Doubles, Project: M Doubles start
2:00/3:00PM - Signups start for Brawl Singles, Project: M Singles
9:00PM - Venue closes (we SHOULD be done by then)

Payout for all Singles events is 60/30/10. Payout for Doubles events is 70/30, unless more than 8 teams are entered.

Venue:
Wolf Law Building room 307, at CU Boulder.

NOTE: There is some football thing taking up the parking lots around Wolf Law that day, so I'll be looking into alternate places to park. You should still be able to drive by and drop off setups before parking.
Directions to get here:
-From US-36 (coming from Denver or otherwise south): Take the exit onto Baseline at the Denver Boulder Turnpike, where US-36 turns into 28th Street; turn left onto Baseline, then right onto Broadway, right onto Regent (it will be the first right turn), right onto Kittredge Loop Drive (it will be the second right), then head straight and turn left at the traffic circle, then turn right after passing a huge building (the Wolf Law building) into the parking lot and park.
-From CO-119 (coming from FoCo or otherwise north): Continue onto Foothills Parkway, turn left onto Baseline, then the directions are the same as above.
If you need further directions or help getting to the venue my number is 303-731-9386. As always, bring full setups.

Please try to SHOW UP EARLY. Also, as usual, BRING SETUPS. If you have a Wii with Brawl and Project: M, bring it. If you have a relatively portable TV (or more than one), bring it. The more setups we have, the more smoothly the tournament can run, the more friendlies can be played, the earlier we can finish.

Hey all, Tsuteto here from the Utah SLC area. Our regional FGC Salt Fest is coming up! Here's some key information for y'all about Salt Fest currently:
*It'll be running on May 17th and 18th (That's a Saturday / Sunday)
*Pre-registration will start December 1st at $20. Essentially each month from there it will only go up, so get your tickets then (site will be updated that day to purchase tickets).
*It will probably be at the same exact location as last time.
It's still in early planning, so we are working out other aspects, such as whether smash will be over just one day or two, pot bonuses, smash entry fee, etc. More than happy to get information released as soon as that's set, but I'm going to just avoid speculation for now.
I'll be over seeing the Smash Bros competition for it this year, and wanted to get some opinions and what you'd like to see done for it competition wise. Essentially, I'd love to hear who's interested in:
*Melee Singles
*Melee Doubles
*Brawl Singles
*Brawl Doubles
*Project: M Singles
*Project: M Doubles
Let me know! I'll be checking back and stuff :)

I don't know if this is a monthly thing or notbut I might not be able to make it unless it's sometime next year. But I have a TV that we could use for friendlies, though it's SUPER tiny. I'll need to bring a good pair of speakers if that happens. I can probably go only for P:M Doubles, and maybe a few friendlies... It depends on what my schedule's going to be like, but above all else I want to be there to show off some skills...

Hey all, Tsuteto from Utah here!

Salt Fest registration is open! So go register and take advantage of the early bird special (or the SUPER early bird special that's only for the first 20 people, of which half is gone)! There will be Melee, Brawl, and Project M over the weekend, both singles and teams.

If you are doing TEAMS, then please keep in mind only ONE person needs to sign up for you and your teammate. I will gather teammate info at the tournament or just prior to the whole event.

Plenty of time to start practicing! I'm sure you've got a number of local tourneys between now and then, and we have things like APEX before hand to study your characters on (or your competition)! Let's get HYPE!

Oh really? You should let us Utahns know about those events once you get stuff planned. So long as you give me notice, you can bet your ass Ill drive up there for anything that big, and I could easily get more people to come.

Hey, just moved from MI and looking to play a bit. I heard there was a tourney tomorrow? I put in a request on the FB group, but I'm not much of an FB guy.

What a first post, right?

I don't drive or play brawl anymore.
Drive from SA to CO is like 18 hours anyways and first place I'd go too if I somehow ended up in CO would definitely not be a brawl tournament but maybe a detour on another day while staying fer a month.

Freaking Shannosan walked up to pay me for entry and said "I only have stripper money though" and I thought he meant $1 bills and he pulls out a $100.

Hello everyone, my name is PeoN, some of you may know the melee player Ferdi, well i'm his little brother, and I'm trying to make the tournament on Saturday but I don't have a ride, so I was wondering if anyone in the thornton area was willing to either let me tag along or take me with them for a little gas money(it won't be a lot probably 10 bucks). I also have a setup(wii and tv) to bring if my ride has the space.

Update: Buttonmashers is taking place in room 307 of the Wolf Law Library (same place as Eyebrawl and Block and Roll). Please do not show up to my house as my mother will be extremely confused.
