and the remnants of the previous world eventually swirled together and collided in order to form a new world.

Just another ghetto article. :urg:

All jokes aside, it makes some good points, but never really expanded on the WiiU. If console developers can get things working like Kinect and the 3DS's 3D features, there will be no problem hooking gamers in with the new era of a gaming experience. As far as old school games and non-wireless games go, that will indeed be consumed by the computer. I would venture to assume that the Wii games are still selling quite well due to the fact that the Wiimote is hard to emulate, making it easier in the long run just to get the game and play it trouble-free. Console makers can make new products where the computer cannot handle the features- i.e. motion sensing and 3D. Obviously motion sensing will be the first thing that the computer will take over in time, but 3D will take a while due to the exorbitant price. Which leads to the next point.

With the money issue, that's where the real point rings true. People simply do not have the money anymore to buy the newest, latest, goldest consoles. They are already likely in deep debt and barely make it paycheck to paycheck, as this country is devolving into a middle-classless, simply rich and poor state. Only the small percent of the rich will be buying games while the rest of the poor labor in difficult jobs barely having enough to survive on. It will definitely split into a rich / poor market and they will have to either choose or split their resources on both.

Also, I loled at the constant bashing of people who play mobile games and Angry Birds. XD

It made me think a lot about the future of fighting games, which to me seems like a hard genre to move to the personal computer because of the arcade stick control scheme. Because of the uncommon and more or less clunky controller, it'd be the last type of game to switch to personal computers, and it's already not doing as well as genres like FPS.

People have been saying the console gaming era is gonna end since forever ago though, and when it was beginning people were saying it would never take off.

I personally didn't realize the decline until about the beginning of the current generation. The Wii was a pretty good heads up, really.

I personally don't mind what happens to the future of gaming in general. There's still plenty of older generation games I haven't had the chance to play, and with how much crap I gotta do everyday for school and work, it'd give me all the time in the world to play them all if gaming itself burned up. I rarely play most new games anyways. :applejack:

I'm actually fine with games moving to PC for the most part, I just still wanna be able to play fighting games. I already like PC for most everything else.

The amount of effort you put into your "ha"s is both impressive, yet hauntingly scary. ._______.

but no seriously. Sup with all the steam hate? Sunnys much gayer.

All the Steam hate is a part of the CO community. It's pretty much meme status now.

I don't participate cause I just don't want to. It's the kind of meme I just watch but never feel inclined to add to. *shrug*

So I am thinking about APEX. Who would be interested in going? The only downside is that it is in New Jersey. But the plus side is that New Jersey is bat country. So maybe we can get some valuable pro level exp there. Also Mister Eric will be there and we are going to merge programming if I get to go.

I still have money saved up that I WAS going to use for the Genesis trip.

*looks at Meno*

So yeah, I can go to Apex probably, though would any of us be willing to drive there? From here to Jersey by car is a very different story than here to California.
