Guys, here we go again. It will be another 1 v 1 tournament. Same rules that we had last time. Please register at the link early so I know we have enough people willing to come to make this successful.

they bumped up the price so there would be more money in the pool for whoever wins the tournament. I hope that is alright by everyone, since that is what the venue decided to charge for this one.

*sigh* man...I haven't been able to make it to the past couple of tournies, but you can bet i'm still going to try for this one. >.<

well SFG, i'm sorry, if there would have been enough people last time then we would have doubles, ubt there wasn't b/c it conflicted with your tourny. I have to deal with what I'm able to do, and this is the best I can do atm until summer when I hold them at my house (i have a huge garage). Until then, this is the best, so you can come if you want or not, it's up to you.

I can try my best, I really will, but like I told SFG, the venue itself controls some of the stuff since we take up a good portion of their building when we have the tournament.

btw guys, i went to the place last night, but the owner wasn't there. I'll go again tomorrow and see if I can get teams involved.

Phasion, if people think that paying for singles and doubles will be too much, perhaps the store will offer an hour of time with purchase of singles and doubles entree? In the long run they will be maknig money off the tourney... I dont see why not.

yeah, the problem isn't from my end really. I've offered a bunch of solutions, but for some reason they haven't been too responsive of it. I don't think it's the players worrying about the entry fee, but more of the venu not wanting to take the time to do teams. The venue fee is basically included in the $15, so they are already making money off of it, i just think that they don't want to spend "wasted" time on these tournies if nobody buys hours for the place, even though the place is already pretty in depth with the tournies, since they bought 5 t.v.'s just for the bi-weeklies. Hopefully tomorrow they'll be more responsive to the teams idea, and I agree with you, it will def bring in more money for them, now I just need to make them realize that.

I've been working on Pichu, GnW, and the ICs so expect to see them being used as well. ^.^

I dont have a partner for teams so if anyone good doesnt have a partner lmk.

EDIT- Can someone please bring a video camera so I can have some of my matches recorded thnx in advance =)

flip, i'll see what I can do with some sort of recording device. If the t.v.'s have and AV out (i think they do) or if I can get my hand on some sort of splitter, I might be able to record directly onto a camera, but do not take this as anything close to being for sure, just hopeful in my eyes, prolly won't happen for this tourny.

Yeah, this tournament will almost def be cancelled due to lack of signups, the next one will be held on the 24th of March, giving us 3 weeks notice so we can fill up all the spots. I also convinced the place to have teams on the 24th, so all of you who want to do the teams thing, that's when it will be, but for this sat. it does not look like we'll be having the tournament.
