its more like a salmon dsmash really, but people rarely know what that is XD
if we assume youre wanting to SS dsmash left:
dash left
dash right (as you would during dashdancing)
down-left on cstick

you got to do this all really fast, also the timing for doing it with rob is incredibly screwy, try doing it with MK first off because im find it really easy to do it with him

not really because you dont slide, its essentially doing a dash-dance into a stutter-step, but for whatever reason you can also dsmash stutterstep in this fashion.
i havent tried it out with everyone yet, but i do know that olimar moves rediculously far before dsmashing, cause he needed anything else on top of his smashes -__-

if youre doing it right youll turn around, so characters like falcon, diddy, etc. who have dsmashes that hit infront and then behind later dont have much use for it

He told me all he did was troll the Lucas boards a little, and they reported him, so he got banned again.

I mean, trolling is kind of breaking the rules, so it makes sense.

It doesn't really seem like it though, looking at the boards I go to. Trolling is like normal communication there.

the difference between trolling and banter is minute
for example if one of us was to take the piss out of someone else on here about something said, but both people are regulars then its easily seen as banter, whereas if i was to go off to the captain falcon boards (a place i have never been in my life) and start taking the piss, people would see it as trolling

also, ive come to believe that this stutterstep dsmash thing is unheard of, i should go and make a thread in the metagame advancement board

And that's just a phase G-P, everyone goes through it. Once you try to use him in tournament and you get your *** kicked, you'll go back to Ike/ROB.

Ahh, so it was just general trolling? I see then. But at least it wasn't ecchi, which could be noted. Dunno how many times you have a grace period after a perma ban though. o.O

Yeah, that's true. I'm pretty sure they were watching him like crazy after giving him a second chance, and he blew it. I talked to him over the weekend at a tournament and he didn't really seem to care that much, so he's probably given up.

Yeah. Trolling is technically breaking the rules but it all depends on how much is tolerated and on what conditions.

For example, like you said, even real trolling can just be banter if it's not long and just between regulars. But trolling from someone who either does it too much or is not a regular will likely be punished on the spot. And, of course, the most important factor is the moderator/+'s discretion. This social is super laid back, but the Brawl Pika social is extremely harsh on trollers outside of Pika mains or regulars. Instant ban from that thread, even Jay tried it once and got the same result.

That said, I'm glad he was at least given a second chance, even if they don't give him any more. I had thought a perma ban was a perma ban and they were just done with it. If he ever gets a third chance, at least he probably won't troll anymore until he's a regular.
