i guess i was down because all of my college friends were moving onto university and going on to bigger things in life whilei was being left behind. and i realised i had retreated back into my shell of IRL shyness over the course of the year which i spend so much work escaping

anyway. youre all awesome. gonna hug you all when i see you at apex (all of you are going by the way, my royal G.P decree)

So I was actually playing ROB a lot today at a smashfest. I was doing work. My ROB always seems to do 10x better when I have an off day with Peach. I don't know how I feel about that...

Omg today i was looking through a dvd section for anime, and was happy to discover the latest pokemon movie was out! To my horror though, an FLCL dvd was right beside it, which instantly made me want to kill myself.

I was forced to watch it by a friend, even after I couldn't stand watching 3 of the cruel and painful to watch episodes. It will forever haunt my dreams, I don't think ive ever hated anything more than this piece of **** show.

Honestly Lei if you understood half of the seventeen thousand anime references made in FLCL, you'd not only be in an elite group of like 1% of the total people who have seen it, but you would enjoy it far more.

FLCL is like Kill Bill. It becomes so much more enriching when you understand all the little nuanced tributes and homages made in it.

I understand where Leisha's coming from. I just watched part of the first ep and it doesn't make much sense unless you have seen all or most of the animes that they get their references from. Tbh it seems like it has Bleach and Gundam (obv) references, but I don't know about Bleach. It was similar so I just guessed.

If you don't know any references or just don't follow them, or just don't like the way they were presented, it would look like a pretty cheap anime. Imho. I'll probably be flamed but I'm just trying to see both sides. I'm sure it's an amazing anime once you recognize everything that they hint but you'd have to watch this after you've seen the other animes.

No, I wasn't trolling. I won't pretend I know what references FLCL has, other than Gundam because they actually said it in the anime :p

Bleach has a similar city layout. I was also reminded of Bleach when the Vespa girl was suddenly in Naota's house, she reminded me of Rukia in a way. Compared to Bleach's first episode.

I still think its really bad regardless, I just found it way too annoying to watch.

And how did jay get unbanned anyway? you little haxor.

I'm not really a huge fan on anime since i find them all the same and nothing really gets me hooked.
