For some reason people unfamiliar with the franchise think he's the main character or mascot or something, when he's far from that. :x

Palutena's victory pose should be twirling her staff like at the end of the trailer, followed by Pittoo landing behind her. Palutena then says without looking behind her; "Dark Pit, here to crash my party?"

Also, Palutena and Pit should have victory quotes when they win against each other, like the Star Fox guys do.

So in other words I have Sal to blame for giving people the chance to claim that someone has a better chance of being DLC than as a character in the main roster?
That's it, **** Chrom, **** Shulk, **** the Chorus Men and **** Palutena. I am actually angry right now for reasons I cannot easily explain and I am just going to take a ****ing nap or something. I'll return when I've calmed down. Maybe.

The only Mario newcomer that I have faith in: Captain Toad. :denzel:

But seriously though, everyone is counting out another Mario character, but I am not so certain about that. It is logical, do not get me wrong. But there is nothing objective to support that notion, so I do not find it to be a feasible assumption.

Sooo, what if we have to fight alternates to unlock them just like unlockable characters? To clarify, what if you have to fight Wire-Frame Mac in order to get that costume? That could work for Dark Pit, too, especially if they make them Event unlockables. Thoughts?

Not necessarily, you have the leaker to blame...although, I am not sure why Palutena is on that list, she was already confirmed, bro.

Dark Pit could have "dark" palettes (Navy Blue or something) while Pit has the lighter and more vibrant palettes (Sky Blue).

Yeah, I don't see it happening either. Maybe in the next smash. However, if there is eventually some kind of HD Sunshine (sequel/remake) people would be all over that.

Dark Pit alt. doesn't seem worth unlocking IMO. I think there are better alts to use, maybe he could have his orignal NES appearance as an alt.

That would be quite a sight, now I really want it. Plus, an added excuse to want Dark Pit playable. But yeah, unlocking alts sounds odd to me.

I think the biggest thing in favor of Bowser Jr is NSMB, which is still going strong. Pretty damn sure he's more associated with that series instead of Sunshine now, especially with their huge selling power.

Rosalina got in though because she's Nintendo's Lightning...I mean, Nintendo is pushing for her to be a competent character on her own.

Actually Pitto does not have a NES appearance. Pit have two dark clones different of Pitto. Shadow Pit and Putt, both minor characters, while Pitto is a major plot character in KI:U

I wouldn't be surprised to see Bowser Jr. at all.

And ugh I just realized I'm going to have to deal with "Duhrr maybe it's Marshal" for two or three more months.

You make a good point with NSMB, but I feel his primary attack method would the paint brush. I could go on about what I think about potential moveset(Mecha Bowser Final Smash), but he's really not a bad choice at all. As for Rosalina, I admit I love her as a character, but I can totally understand why people would think Nintendo is pushing her too much.

Dark Pit is a better choice because he has the nickname, "Pittoo." Paper Mario does not have that. You cannot just go up to him and be like, "yo, what is up Papes!"

I can't say I'm an active Paper Mario supporter (though I'm a big fan of the series), but claiming he's going to be a clone just seems like the weakest argument against him. He's so obviously different from the regular Mario, I'm certain he'd be completely unique if he ever makes the cut.

Speaking of Paper Mario, when I first heard the concept of him being playable, I was disgusted. But the more I thought about him, the more I liked the idea of him being playable. I think Bowser Jr. deserves a spot before him, but if he ever does become playable I wouldn't be upset at all. I mean, he has HUGE moveset potential and I think he would be fun to use.
