It is the animation, but it's the latter part of the animation, where he's about to fall on his back.No it's not. This is the taunt you're thinking of.
I don't think it's the same animation.

No, I don't think so. Look at this (2:00 for Mario)It is the animation, but it's the latter part of the animation, where he's about to fall on his back.
Looks to me like Mario is kind of balancing since he is near a ledge.*facepalm* It's one of Mario's taunts.
Mario nor Sonic's dodge animations looked nothing like that. Unless, of course, they've changed. But they still appear to be in the center of the stage. It's the dodge animation, in Brawl there was no facial expression, you guys are just seeing Up/Down Dodge animation.
Are you looking at the big picture from the site? I see no more platform behind Mario.Mario nor Sonic's dodge animations looked nothing like that. Unless, of course, they've changed. But they still appear to be in the center of the stage.
He does look a little off centre actually. But I don't get why they're both looking up, and not straight forward (where most attacks their height would hit). Are you looking at the big picture from the site? I see no more platform behind Mario.
More importantly, where the **** is my Gun Blade?I think the bigger issue is that Ike still has Eruption.
Tough break, Roy fans....
I think it is just the angle of the shot. Remember you can manipulate it some when taking pictures in previous games. He does look a little off centre actually. But I don't get why they're both looking up, and not straight forward (where most attacks their height would hit).
Yeah, we'll be seeing Anna as an AT on her birthday. So I was playing Fire Emblem Awakening and I decided to look at my roster. When I looked at Anna's profile, I realized something.
Anna's birthday is on June 11.
June 11.
Oh. My. God.
You know, you're awful pessimistic of her to have four icons for her in your signature.Yeah, we'll be seeing Anna as an AT on her birthday.
It shows how excited I would be if Anna was confirmed playable. I would be four times happy! You know, you're awful pessimistic of her to have four icons for her in your signature.
Then act like it, dammit. It shows how excited I would be if Anna was confirmed playable. I would be four times happy!
Or it's better to have your expectations in check to save yourself the disappointment instead of practically expecting a character to be in only to be disappointed. Then act like it, dammit.
I am tired of this pessimism everyone here shares. It's way better to show your support for something and be disappointed in the end than be sorely disappointed the entire time, in my opinion.
That still sounds rather pessimistic.Or it's better to have your expectations in check to save yourself the disappointment instead of practically expecting a character to be in only to be disappointed.
That way, if the character you do like gets in, then the satisfaction of it would be even better.
Idk if I'd say it's pessimism. That still sounds rather pessimistic.
Squall took it. sry.More importantly, where the **** is my Gun Blade?
Tier-wise, wasn't Young Link just one spot above Link in Melee? I think Toon Link was over 20 spots ahead of Link in Brawl.Young Link to Link was different. For one, Young Link was a much more mobile character who is much more potent in keeping away. Link, on the other hand, uses his projectiles to approach so he can get a quick kill. YLink can approach as well but he'd prefer to rack up damage from the distance with his disjointed hitbox and better projectiles because unlike Link he has trouble KOing. Subtle differences, but they can be major.
AFAIK, Toon Link is just a better overall Link. I don't play him much but he doesn't have as powerful a projectile/keepaway game as YLink does, so to me he's more similar to Link than YLink was.
Seriously, if it is a tripping animation there is nothing random about it. We know forced (item) tripping is in, and it's not like Sakurai would be running back and forth constantly trying to force a trip and time it with Ike's eruption. The animations for tripping exist (once again, due to items) and as this is a staged photo I would imagine some debug tools are involved. So, once again, unless you think Sakurai was playing SSB with some other devs for hours trying to force a trip and time it perfectly for a throw away PotD, I can not fathom how you would come to the conclusion that this points at random tripping. Think people.*Ahem* I think we may have an issue by looking at today's pic of the day...
Is it just me...or does Mario's animation look like...random tripping?
Probably like this.I wonder how Megaman would look tripping...
I don't really think tier list placements matter much about clones. Ask a professional and they'll tell you Fox and Falco play nothing alike, and these two are literally the top 2.Tier-wise, wasn't Young Link just one spot above Link in Melee? I think Toon Link was over 20 spots ahead of Link in Brawl.
Isn't that a fan page?Oh, I don't know if anyone noticed this, but in the direct, I'm pretty sure even though Goroh was shown, they never showed the F-Zero symbol. Well it's right here: http://wallpaper-games-maker.com/background/super-smash-bros-wiiu (found through the SSB Miiverse page)
I'm not saying I ever thought Falcon wasn't in, I was just posting this for the sake of posting it.
Oh also, the Earthbound symbol which was never shown is there as well.
That's a fan website, but I agree, Falcon and Ness will get in.Oh, I don't know if anyone noticed this, but in the direct, I'm pretty sure even though Goroh was shown, they never showed the F-Zero symbol. Don't you mean veterans? Or are we speculating on characters we haven't played yet? What changes to existing newcomers would you like to see?
For instance: PK Thunder now has a magnetic property to Ness and Lucas, so it's harder to miss when recovering.

Sorry, I meant Veterans.Ness and Lucas aren't existing newcomers.
Ugh, negative on that, aiming with it is already a chore, don't need the game trying to help. >.>What changes to existing newcomers would you like to see?

Exactly my point... I'm just trying to figure out ways to avoid missing, or hitting in the wrong direction.Ugh, negative on that, aiming with it is already a chore, don't need the game trying to help. >.>
S'cool.Sorry, I meant Veterans.
Lapse of sanity.
