Well, actually, Luigi being similar to Mario is in his design. So it does make sense that he'd bare a resemblance to Mario.

Though I do wish his playstyle had more differences, because Luigi often feels like an inferior Mario.
I'm aware of that, and it makes sense for a Mario game, but for a game like smash brothers, where most characters move sets are drawn from there games, Luigi feels like he has none of that potential.

Unlike Mario (64 aside) as well, Luigi can actually kill reliably.

Mario's game is all about combos. Which is why he's so, so bad in Brawl. Luigi can kill quicker. Lack of wavedash hurts Luigi's approach though, his main problem in Brawl (+lack of hitstun), so he sucks there too.

You think that link's nice.

onefinalsmash.com

I can't tell if this is Roy or Snake
Raiden... Cartwheels Rips into Battle!!

...

Anyway, I always liked Luigi's aerials as I find them fun to use. We know that he has some tweaks, so I can't wait to try him out (I think both Luigi and Mario should get a costume though).

Can't kill as well.
Can't combo as well.

The only advantages I can think of for Luigi is he can recover better, and in Melee had the niche of having the most exploitable wavedash.
Where did you get the idea that Mario can kill better than Luigi? lmao

Mario's KO potential is so weak. Are you confusing him with Doc?

What hell version of Luigi are you even using?

Because I cannot take the statement "Luigi can kill characters better then Mario" seriously when experience is saying otherwise.

Mario's fsmash can't even kill as reliably as Luigi's downsmash lol.

It's common knowledge that Mario lacks a good finisher, when Luigi and Doc got diverse KO options.

It doesn't matter, Doctor Mario is better than those two.

Bring him back.

Do you guys realize how good Luigi's recovery is? He can go from the bottom-most part of temple, to the far right side.

No Doctor Mario. Any clone that is only included to pad the roster should not return in a sequel unless they have something more to offer.

Luigi is so poorly designed in each smash game.

In 64 he is an all around weaker Mario, and will be the bottom tier in the next 64 tier list.

In Melee the same thing is true, except Wavedashing randomly makes him different and gives him a ton of unique options. If not for that, he's again be an all around weaker Mario. And no, the side B doesn't help. It's so easy to time out.

Then in Brawl, it is mostly the same thing again, except this time Mario is bad with Luigi, instead of Mario being slightly above average.

Really Luigi needs a more unique skillset. The floaty style is great, but he needs more super useful aerial attacks and/or more aerial combos than Mario. A new neutral air (which he doesn't have), an improved back air (bring back the 64 back air=???), and more combo strings with the up air would help.

Giving Luigi a different kind of neutral B (3 rows of fireballs, super fast fireballs, or fireballs that go slow and act like Wolf's blaster),a less predictable forward B (make it's starting launching distance farther to increase his mobility and make it hard to time out) with more offensive usefulness, making the down B have tornado suck in physics, and increasing the size of the sweet spot of Luigi's up B (make it have a higher hitbox too, and make it KO like Jigglypuff's 64 and Melee rest), and then we are TALKING!!!

Oh, and can Luigi get actually unique grab throws=??? Please=??? Seriously, everyone else has unique grab throws. Oh, and giving Luigi more range (kind of like Diddy with his extended arms) would additionally be helpful.

See how easy it is to fix Luigi's skillset, moveset, and playstyle=??? This makes me wonder why I am still either the only person or one of a small group of people suggesting these kind of changes for Luigi when it is so simple=???

I like Luigi's Brawl design. He combo's less than Mario, but he is stronger and has solid aerials.

His problem is flow. Also Up B goes only up, side B goes only to the side. If his tornado is improved to better chase opponents to string together attacks, Luigi would be in better shape.

I think his big problem is playstyle and skillset wise he is the closest to the character he is a clone of.

There is no reason he can't be more like Luigi outside of smash and less like Mario. Each time we keep getting small pushes towards being more unique; well it's about dang time we get a big one.

It took all of one game to make Falco, to be completely different from Fox in how you play him, and in that game he had FAR more borrowed moves from Fox than Luigi did from Mario.

Why do you hate Luigi? He did nothing to you. unless...he did... WHAT DID HE DO TO YOU JOHN?! D: HONEY, CALL THE POLICE.
I think Luigi is better than Mario in every way, both in smash, and in the mario series. Come at me.

uhm thanks for let me be i guess :p

I know what your point is though, why you think miis could annoy people and why pokemon is not too far from smash when comes to violence, but hey, miis had been annoying people since day 1, and pokemon is rated E (like mii) while smash is T, these are facts.
Point is, pikachu is an E designed character in a T designed game, and no body has a problem with it, so, miis naturally wouldnt be a problem (mario kart, come on... ).

I'm just saying that i have reasons to think otherwise you, NOT that you are wrong.
Oh, hey, I'm not upset that you have a different opinion than me, haha. Sorry if I gave you that impression. I can get kind of intense when I'm debating something.
I'm only here because I enjoy speculation.

Guys..keep calm...

Saturn's back.
... is this some sort of inside joke? :D
I'm not sure what you're referring to but I am curious now.

EDIT: Never mind. I figured it out.

I'm being serious. I thought that this leak was real until that ridley thing. if it's "leaked" by the same guy then EVERYTHING is thrown out the window.

I know for certain the smash team wouldn't make a model so UTTERLY DISGUSTING. It scares me to even think someone thought this was acceptable.

Guys, the thing with Ridley is fake.

I found the source image.

Total photoshop 0/10 tell your friends

In all seriousness, I'm having a hard time finding the source image they used. As ugly as it is, it's a unique version of Ridley.

Mii seems incredibly unlikely because of the technical aspect. How would you play him if you did not at create 4 of them in the first place. Besides, the whole customisation is what's making me think he won't be there. In smash, it's always alternate costumes, there is no create your own character and I believe it will stay this way
