I think most people are doing it cause everyone was conviced that Chrom would replace Ike, so it's like... Sweet revenge from us Ikefans.

Toon Link is the biggest piece of trash to ever exist in Smash, and he came back, so Ike seems like a no brainer.

Young Link w/ Razor Sword + Mirror Shield

Each attack based off of a mask has a quick transformation into and out of before and after the attack.

B> Goron Rollout: Tranforms into goron and does his classic rollout attack
B Zora Double Boomerang: Takes longer to preform but does double the damage of regular link's boomarang
B^ Helicopter Flowers: Deku scrub Link takes the stage and leaps upword with his flowers. It's a slow downfard fall like Peach's umbrella unless you fast fall
BV Mirror Shield: Link buckles down to his knees and holds his shield in front of him reflects all attacks back at the opponent

It means Chrom can possibly be unique, but I still prefer Robin.
I mean they made Marth more feminine and made Ike more masculine.
The next step is to add somebody that can be both male and female. It fits the pattern!!!1!

Not necessarily. Link and Toon Link to have been differentiated a bit further, and everything he represents still stands strong. Let`s wait until after we`ve played the game to complain about the movesets.

I can already tell it's not diversified enough for me to like it. Especially when we have 8000 interesting and unique Zelda characters we could have had instead. Impa. Tingle. Skull Kid. MMLink. Ravio. Tetra. Ghirahim. Midna. Wolf Link. Need I go on?

I love Toon Link for his non-smash appearence. He's uber tute. But he falls flat in almost every way within' Smash.

I understand where your coming from, and I really like Toon Link as well, but I still like him as he is. As a reincarnation of Link, it'd make sense that he be more a clone than not, but still, he's got his own charm and playstyle. I appreciate him as Sakurai intended. Please, don't call him trash just because you don't feel the same way. Again, I understand where your coming from, but I think it's a narrow-minded way of thinking.

Yeah! The art style in this game is absolutely wonderful. I hope Namco takes it and expands it in the future in a full 3D 3DS or Wii U game or something. It's seriously great seeing little Pac people in action poses and doing cool fantasy stuff.



Personal preference: Remove Ike or Ridley (not because I dislike them, I just don't see them as likely) and replace with either K. Rool or Mewtwo and that's pretty much the roster I'm expecting.

Weird. If anything, I actually think this helps Roy, if only because I do think there's an off-chance we might get four reps and that if we get a fourth character, it'd be him.

But yeah, Marth, Ike, and Chrom is the most likely scenario.

EDIT: I also just noticed that Ike is our 30th confirmed character! I thought that was a neat little thing.

I didn't find Ike as likely,but I've recently thought he had a higher chance of returning.

I still don't find Lucas as high of a chance as other players.

You know, the same overlooked reasons why Lucario was more likely then people thought.

People mainly had doubts about Ike because of "muh recency". With Ike in the game, the arguments is slowly being shown as the folly it is.

Ike did not replace Roy. Roy was planned to be in the game, but most likely was cut due to time constraints.

I'm really glad that Ike has returned, this means that GamesRadar is once again WRONG!!!! I can't wait to see the looks of embarrassment on their faces in their next episode!

I'm sure some people will come about and say they never thought Ike would leave, even if they actually thought the opposite before his revelation. But I must say, I honestly thought Ike would be cut, because I did think he was "replaceable" (as in Chrom taking his place), never been into Fire Emblem enough to know about his importance in the series and didn't find him that interesting in Brawl. And, well, because cuts "always" happen and some were bound to be on the chopping block. But now, obviously, all of these reasons are silly and I guess I should have learned my lesson already when Lucario was revealed haha... And to be honest, I'm really digging the way Ike looks now. I'll still keep some (healthy) skepticism towards a few characters (Lucas, Wolf, R.O.B.), but it definitely looks like they'll be in too.

Oh, and I'm still confident that Chrom will be playable, regardless of Ike returning. I guess three FE-characters is the way to go now.
