Mola Mania would work as a great eShop title at least, but that's dependent on whether or not the staff at Nintendo are willing to actually go through it. It's mainly business talk on whether or not the idea can appeal to an audience. The same could be said for a hypothetical inclusion in Super Smash Bros.

On one hand, the optimistic side of me wants to think they eventually will down the road, but realistically, I think they'll look at how Mole Mania did on the 3DS VC compared to the other VC games (you know, to see if there's interest in the IP). Sadly, I don't know that information regarding sales. Such a good game, though.

But yeah, seeing him in Smash in some form would be awesome, to say the least. Especially after his total absence in Brawl, despite some people claiming they "saw him in a demonstration of Assist Trophies." Probably Resetti, but still.

Pardon my being off-topic, but here's an idea I heard on Tumblr today, and something I haven't seen discussed yet. The most recent Fire Emblem game introduced something particularly new to the series as compared to previous installments, the pairing feature. When units were side-by-side, they wouldn't simply support each other in battle by raising each others stats, they could actively fight together. What if Sakurai uses that as a base, and, instead of receiving Chrom OR Lucina, for example, we receive Chrom AND Lucina? We've already received another tag-team character in Rosaluma, and before Diddy Kong's reveal some were expecting a Diddy/Dixie duo. This seems to be a very real possibility, although it's also just as possible for only one or neither of them to join the roster.

Like I said, a small eShop title would work at first because it would help keep any costs to a minimal. This means that whether or not the game sells with expectations, Nintendo won't be hurt while at the same time still providing a new title to audiences. The major problem though is that eShop titles tend to get minimal advertisement, like normally a trailer on the Nintendo Youtube channel and that's it. Though if it does exceed expectations, Mole Mania could be expanded to bigger and better things.

Also considering that these Smash games are straying from the problem of recycling models for the trophies in Brawl, there's a solid chance Muddy may make a cameo as a trophy at least.

Unrelated to the topic at hand, but out of curiosity of the reactions to Hyrule Warriors in the Impa thread, I saw a sentence that made my blood turn cold.

Pretty much my ideal roster. (Except I'd have Dixie instead of Paper Mario, but he's cool too)
And, if it were strictly a "want" roster over a "chance" roster, Lucina or Robin over Chrom
And Bayonetta instead of the Random slot.

NOOOO KEEP MACH RIDER! (It makes no difference at all, I just love Mach Rider and want him to be in all things.) Anyways, this roster looks awesome and I would play all of your options. Well, I kind of don't like Krystal, but she's an acceptable sacrifice for Paper Mario and Mach Rider.

3. Peach/ Rosalina maybe (Princess v. Princess)? There's also Link/Marth (Battle of the Heroes of Legend), Also possibly Yoshi/Diddy Kong (Battle of Sidekicks)?

Sorry for bringing this up again, but I can't ignore this because...

I actually wouldn't mind a Pac-Man Monsters version of him either.

this is probably one of my fave Pac-Man designs! There's just something about it that has a certain charm for me -- I think I really like the dark arms/legs. I'd love to see Pac-Man with this design (maybe make the arms/legs a little thicker, but still, I think it looks adorable). In the end though, I'm not too picky on Pac's looks, as long as it looks good and not too "creepy".

I've been meaning to say this before, but with the new art direction Smash 4 has, I find it hard to believe Pac-Man would look "freaky" with whatever design if he gets in (this is mostly directed if he's gonna be based on his Ghostly Adventures design, and even then, I feel like they would make some changes). I noticed some characters have a more cartoony and cheerful look to them (and some more simple), which helps with the fun and whimsical atmosphere I'm getting. For example:

To me, DK is looking a lot more cheerful and expressive than in the other installments. Not saying that you should look past these upbeat expressions, because he still can look serious and more aggressive -- DK's a force to be reckoned with! But, to me, DK's looking a lot more approachable. And when I say "approachable" I mean I may actually try him out more due to his more colourful appearance now (lovin' da fur!).

Not saying I avoided DK because he looks intimidating or whatever (ok, tbh, that plays a wee bit), I'm just not that fond of his moveset/gameplay. But I'm liking his appearance now, so I may brush past his gameplay, and try him out more (plus he has some changes to his moves).

For me its Pit. He looks really fun to play.

There should should be rivals. Some examples:

• Cpt Falcon vs Sonic (who is the fastest?)
• Megaman vs Pacman (classic matchup, if Pacman is in)
• Samus vs. Charizard (instead of Ridley, a different Dragon)
• Mewtwo vs. Ness or Lucas (Psychics, again only if Mewtwo returns)
• Pit vs. Bowser or Ganondorf (Angel vs. Devil?)
• Rosalina vs. Palutena (Goddesses)
• Peach vs. ZSS (battle of the blondes)

These are just off the top of my head.

You consider Takamaru revived? Why is that? From my perspective, at least, I would think that a revival would translate into a new installment in Takamaru's series.\

Like I've already said for that Super Nintendo Rob guy (I forgot his name already) in the past: "Anyone who thinks that Takamaru would be a Greninja clone is delusional."

I've tried my best to ignore this ignorance, but I'm afraid that I have to be Golden 2.0 in a silly scenario like this.

First of all, teleportation and becoming invisible ARE two different things. You disappear from sight in thin air and reappear else where, leaving behind a substitute in your original place. Invisibility makes you blend in with you surrounds and use that to your advantage in battle.

Shirukens aren't the only damn weapons he can wield in the first place. He has kunais, a Japanese throwing knife that he'd been using since his own game and it is WAY more iconic to him than shirukens in the first place. He also have Windmill Blades that are even more efficient that shirukens due to its boomerang like functionality. Then there's Nintendo Land's clay bombs which can easily be used to represent Ninja Castle way more than those irrelevant shirukens in the first place.

How the hell an anthropomorphic frog is considered similar to a Edo era human with obvious DIFFERENT proportions in the first place? Greninja is a Water/Dark type amphibian that wouldn't feel too out of place in Digimon and uses its own damn tongue for a scarf since it can't afford one. Takamaru is dress like anything you'd expect from ancient Japan with the ponytail to boot. The number of people who thing that they would be clones makes me want to murder a million Zubats.


There's a difference between wielding an organic katana and manipulation water for form weapons, people! He wields and fights like a true samurai with the stance and strikes to support that. Greninja is a athletic poor man's Dororo with the ability to use water in battle and we'd never seen him create weapons with it in Pokemon canon (Granted Sakurai had done so to make him a more efficient fighter like Lucario and Mewtwo). Takamaru would represent a samurai more than ninjas in the first place since he can't do martial arts and several samurai actually USED tools like shiruken or kunai to distract their foes from afar.

I think I've made my point just for all the Pokemaniacs to see.

I'm pretty damn happy that Ike is returning. That means no one is getting cut for crappy reasons. Thank goodness.

I really needed something to hype me up and make me feel better about this roster and this did it. Now all I need to hear is King K. Rool is playable and I can retire from the speculation scene for good.

Sakurai's obviously trolling and Ike is just a skin for Chrom, who will be revealed playable at E3. Ike's page will then be deleted and replaced with Chrom's.
