IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS RUN AS FAR AS YOU CAN!I suppose you are correct; although Hades does offer a more universal recognition. I suppose it is negligible as Medusa offers something very similar. She is just not as prominent.
Sorry i was eatingThis post was missing your normals.

I meant objectively; Hades, son of Cronus. He has more universal appeal. Although, again, Hades is the main antagonist of Uprising, so he does have that in his favor.IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS RUN AS FAR AS YOU CAN!
I don't agree with the idea of Hades being more easily to recognize, why? cause even if Hades is the bad guy of Kid Icarus Urprising, when you start the game the "bad guy" is Medusa, and only after you beat Medusa you find out that Hades is the bad guy, and even at the end Medusa appears again and blow Hades head, that gives her even more ground for her to stand, is true that Hades have a really cool personality that makes everyone like him, but Medusa is the classic villain of Kid Icarus.![]()
Fix'dSeries in need of their Villain
DK = King K. Rool
Metroid = Ridley
Pokemon = Meowth
That is all.
Potentially yes and it would be nice, but like with the current roster there are other Pokémon (and characters in general) to consider that have their own merits that could cause them to be used over Sceptile. So while he's a possible choice, I still would be hesistant to put him too highly, particularly since we don't know how many DLC characters we would be getting, if we even get them at all.Something I've been meaning to point out about this whole Sceptile debate but instead went to buy Wendy's: Sakurai stated he's not thinking about DLC until after the game's release, iirc. I don't recall him stating, however, which game he was referring to. It's possible that Sceptile could be released along with the WiiU version, adding a DLC update to the 3DS version, thereby releasing him in the winter when the character has been established, promoted, and is more relevant in terms of Nintendo's lineup.
That's true, but IMO that's not something good, cause that means that the character will not been known by who he is (like Mario or Link -well he's know as Zelda but you get it-), he will be known as a copy of a God of a mythologyI meant objectively; Hades, son of Cronus. The anime is pretty much the most prevalent source of inspiration for Pokemon in Smash. He isn't that lame though, he is one of the only Pokemon that can speak without using telepathy, I mean, he is a member of Team Rocket. The first real antagonist group of Pokemon. But I agree to an extent, he is really a childish villain who only really exists for conflicts sake.Meowth is a lame villain. And only really a villain in the anime.
You just described the Team Rocket (i'm talking about only Jesse, James and Meowth)The anime is pretty much the most prevalent source of inspiration for Pokemon in Smash. Mewtwo had a movie where he was the villain. So even in the anime Mewtwo trumps Meowth.The anime is pretty much the most prevalent source of inspiration for Pokemon in Smash. Agreed; I feel as though Meowth is the symbol of "Team Rocket" though, as they have a balloon with his face on it.You just described the Team Rocket (i'm talking about only Jesse, James and Meowth)![]()
Noone is debating thatMewtwo had a movie where he was the villain. So even in the anime Mewtwo trumps Meowth.
Mewtwo was never a villain though.Mewtwo had a movie where he was the villain. So even in the anime Mewtwo trumps Meowth.
I feel as though he meant to allude to Mewtwo as the antagonist.Mewtwo was never a villain though.
Not that much anymoreIs Meowth actually popular? I've tried to find some polls, but the only notable one I found was an IGN one where Meowth didn't even place.
NoFawful anyone?
Meowth isn't necessarily popular, he is more prominent. He represents so much more than just himself; he is quite literally the spiritual antagonist of Pikachu per se (inverted Pokedex numbers alluding to the notion of cat and mouse). He is also one of the most prevalent Pokemon in the series. But actual popularity? Not so much. Probably more than Jigglypuff though.Is Meowth actually popular? Whatever happened to that Bowser Jr. hype?BTW why do you prefer Fawful over Cackleta?

Agreed. It could occur nonetheless, however. He would simply be more relevant around then, but you're right to be hesitant.Potentially yes and it would be nice, but like with the current roster there are other Pokémon (and characters in general) to consider that have their own merits that could cause them to be used over Sceptile. Well i'm not expecting a new mario character, but i wouldn't be surprised if we get a new one (like Bowser Jr.)You guys arent expecting another mario newcomer are you?
There really isnt much left, and with the big extravagant trailers we have gotten i honestly dont think a series will get multiples and if they did it would probably be better that they share a trailer like greninja and charizard.
I feel the same way, I am certainly not expecting a new Mario representative, I don't even want one. But it would hardly surprise me.Well i'm not expecting a new mario character, but i wouldn't be surprised if we get a new one (like Bowser Jr.)![]()
I'm not expecting one, but I do know that it isn't entirely out of the realm of possibility.You guys arent expecting another mario newcomer are you?

You should know by now that it all died since Rosalina's inclusion.Whatever happened to that Bowser Jr. hype?
It isn't about proportional representation; it is about the notion that Mario had 5 characters in Melee, over a decade ago. The 6th representative could be coming in Smash 4.It's not out of the question sure, but I still feel like people continually try to even out the amount of characters between series when I hardly think thats how sakurai would even go about it.
Well for starters, it was never even to begin with, so I don't get why we must make these games the exception for no reason whatsoever.It's not out of the question sure, but I still feel like people continually try to even out the amount of characters between series when I hardly think thats how sakurai would even go about it.
