What Banjo should have been
What Banjo is nowI disagree, I'd love to see Nintendo's attempt take on a gritty stylized game using Mach Rider.

After your praise for Mach Rider, your lack of him on a roster disturbs me. That's my bias though, he's my most wanted newcomer. Other than that this looks pretty standard. I hope you are right about Robin being in, but I cannot see Robin without Chrom in the roster somewhere, so I view them Robin as unlikely. 12 newcomers is a nice round number, as well. That being said, 53 movesets, most of which are presumably unique, is a pretty large set. I can't imagine over 45 reasonably, although in my dreams 50 is the case.I disagree, I'd love to see Nintendo's attempt take on a gritty stylized game using Mach Rider.

ALSO I DID ANOTHER ROSTER THING
Figured I'd better put my money where my mouth is and put Black Shadow on my roster since I was advocating for him kinda heavily these past few days.
Oh and it's changed a lot visually, now going with the color theme everyone uses in their fake leaks. Thought it looked nice, so I tried my own take on it.
49 Characters, 53 total with transformations in mind.
As per usual, I'd love to hear your thoughts if you'd like to share any.

Well when it comes to the "realistic" retro characters, Mach has always been my pic. I've just always seen a bit more potential in Muddy than in Mach though. If Muddy wasn't on the roster right now, Mach probably would be. Even then the retro position is more of a placeholder than an actual legit prediction anyways. Don't know who, but I'm sure a retro character will probably show up. Muddy is just my #1 preferred choice, Mach Rider would be my 2nd one.
Robin is sort of a placeholder I guess, I see a third Fire Emblem character appearing regardless of who it is. But I'd prefer Robin or Lucina as that third character.
I don't see the transformation characters getting scrapped and neither do I see any vets (except Snake for a variety of reasons) getting cut unless time constraints come into play. So I'd like to think of this as the planned roster.

It's going to be worth it, his transformations is not grow weary and weak like the Trainer's stamina gimmick.

Truthfully, Yoshi doesn't even need any more reps.
But he gave wario 3 characters... That's the deal here.
Ashley is an Assist Trophy though, so that doesn't really count when we're talking about playable rep inputs.

I agree. Yoshi series could deserve one more rep. And I think Kamek would be the perfect spot for the job. Some people say he only fires those three colored squares. But in the Paper Mario series,Magikoopas are basically an assemble of Kamek. Color Palettes are already proven,but also in the Paper Mario games,the multi-colored Magikoopas use different magic for each color,fire,ice,growing,shrinking,etc. The possibilities are endless for Kamek. Beats Baby Mario and Baby Luigi duo...
From what I understand, Toad is not a character in Japan. So the situation is a bit different.

Remember, this was before E3, so the "Leaky 3" hadn't been dropped yet. Chrom has always been relatively popular/expected on GAF.
What are you getting at?
If Awakening was peaking in popularity, it'd explain why Chrom might have appeared on more rosters than he would at a different time in development.
