I'm in no means a Krystal fan, but to be honest people use this and her as the scapegoat for that game being awful, when there were plenty of more important things than just the fact it was her debut that made that game so very bad.
I don't know anything about that, all I know is that she's nowhere near as cool as Mach Rider.
Or Vaati. Or anyone, really.

Opinions are subjective though. You have to remember that dude. You may like Mach Rider, someone else may like Krystal, someone may like Fawful, and another might like Geno. No one's opinion can be right or wrong.

Unless the opinion is like ''Hitler was a pretty damn good guy!"

Then yeah, that ****'s wrong.

Krystal will be in because she's "unique"?

Never heard that argument before....
Butbutbut... BOOBS!

WE NEEDZ MOAR BOOBZ! AND WE NEED MORE FURRIES!

KRYSTALFERSM4SH!

@ArcticWolf I don't really see why Ike would get replaced. I get tired to hearing about this; he's not in the same situation as Roy was pre-Brawl and Sakurai can't be THAT stupid enough to replace him with a semi-clone Chrom.

It's not as if people can't have opinions or anything...
Look guys, don't lecture me, I'm being facetious. I'm always being facetious.

That does remind me...is there really point in keeping Captain Falcon, Ness, & Jigglypuff unlockables now besides "Tradition"?
No, not really. But they probably. I can't see any characters being "secret" characters though.

I don't see why tradition isn't a good enough reason.
Yeah, Sakurai seems like a sentimental guy, so this is probably true.

Thing is Sakurai does take remakes into account.
Is there really a point in keeping Jigglypuff in now besides "tradition" period?
She's still popular, definitely so in the Smash community, and new new-found Fairy typing allows her to have even more potential as a fighter, and allows her to promote Pokemon X/Y.

Tradition and Smash-based popularity is what keeps bringing Sheik back. Because for all the flack her support may have received, Impa is a character who would both fit the existing moveset and has more importance in the series as a whole, especially now that the characters are separate.

May I ask you what Krystal's moveset may be?
What you think is likely and what you think should happen.
It is very simple

Neutral B- Fire Blast
Uses her staff to fire flame projectiles that can be charged like Samus' Charge Beam, but can be fired at angles

Side B- Freezer
Clone of Bowser's fire breath, but with sub-zero gusts blowing out of her staff

Up and B- Rocket Boost
Uses her staff's rocket boost as a recovery move

Down and B- Earthquake
While grounded, charges up to drive her staff into the ground causing a tremor. Just going straight down while aerial

Final Smash- Pteranodon Strike
Gets on her Pteranodon and appears before the camera to shoot strong magic projectiles from her staff for a while, then blasts through one opponent to finish them off.

What about the rest of moveset?

That's a lot of staff. Everything is staff. Magic disguised as staff.

I see it as Sheik representing on what is considered the best game of all time.

Everyone keeps saying Jigglypuff's really popular, but they never back it up, I know she was popular back when there was only one generation of Pokemon, but know? I'll give you that she has more potential as a fighter now, but I don't know how much of that potential they would expose. As if X and Y don't have enough promotion already.

Good thing Impa was in that game as well as many other great ones then...
Why have a character to "represent" one game when you can have a more important one that "represents" many titles in the series, including that one?

That's not why Sheik has stuck around.

Well Sakurai was dumb enough to remove Mewtwo so...*shrug*

~Ohhh mmmmmyyyy~
You didn't list her A moves...but whatever. I'm sure Namco has experience with staff fighters like this dude

Now that is how I see it. Good work, sir.

Also, in response to your remark from a few days ago Ghirahim not being used to promote Zelda...
first off, Nintendo hardly ever markets Zelda. Second, I brought this up because they're making this

Considering my previous statement, this is quite impressive.

I know we're talking about Sheik, Palutena, and Krystal all being magic users to spice up the roster in terms of diversity but I would prefer the inclusion of reps from franchises that don't have anyone in smash yet. Heck look at my signature haha

@ Jason the Yoshi Jason the Yoshi you're embarrassing every supporter of Krystal right now. You have literally spit out the SAME ARGUMENT many times, and it's just become so predictable and bogus. At least try and make the argument fresh, and not the whole, "HURR DURR SHE HAZ ZTAFF WE NEED MOAR GURLZ SHEZ BLUE." I understand you're trying to defend her, but you have to understand the reality of her situation. She is by no means a ,"shoe-in," and no character is, with the exception of Palutena.

I'm sure i've stated my opinion on Krystal enough in this forum, so I won't proceed.

If there anyway we can.
We need Monster from Famicom Grand Prix.
I just find the idea of playing a small monster truck appealing.

Impa hardly had a presence in Ocarina of Time, though. Sheik was there almost the entire second half of the game.
She was also technically Zelda, who was the second most important character in the game.

Thank you. Please understand that i'm not trying to insult and undermine you, but I recommend you try and initiate better arguments. If you want, I can try to refer you to a point I made a couple of days ago, if I can dig it up.

Jigglypuff will probably return because of tradition, but I would absolutely prefer Mewtwo over her. The only reason she was added was because she was popular in Japan back when the first Smash Bros. came out. By now, her popularity has plummeted and she's not even in the anime anymore, so I say she's no longer significant (but like I said, that's just my opinion, she'll be back almost certainly).

On the topic of costumes...will we get Dr. Mario & Dr. Luigi or will Sakurai not do it because "They don't throw fireballs"?

Sheik is just far more popular and iconic than Impa. Sheik also gets referenced more in games then Impa does (like costumes in street pass and Tekken Tag 2).

Oh absolutely. This will cater to the Dr. Mario fans, and make note of the successful (I think,) Dr. Luigi.

To be fair, that is mostly due to her inclusion in Smash. It has little to nothing to do with her role in Ocarina of Time.

I honestly feel as though the move-set customization might have pills for Mario. I am not entirely certain, but I doubt we wouldn't get one of the more iconic costumes just because "they don't throw fireballs," it seems like a silly reason.

She is also really easy to develop; she has a unique move-set and retains interesting mechanics pertinent to her. I feel as though we will get both, but people often allude to her being in "just because of tradition" as though it is a bad thing. She has been in Smash for over 15 years and amassed a huge fan-base (mostly due to her being only one of 12 and then she was upgraded to S-Tier, expanding her player-base). Her popularity is irrelevant, as it always has been, and as it always will be. I am not denying that it is a factor he looks at, but it clearly isn't important to her specifically.

I mean, she is significant. It would be awkward to have a character in every installment that is easy and unique, and then just remove her based on the notion that people don't find her "important enough."

I feel inclined to agree with you more if it wasn't for the fact that this seems to be Skyward Sword based. Who else would they put on the cover of a Skyward's Sword specific board game?

Well, they're still promoting Skyward Sword even though there's not really a point, after all, there was a jigsaw puzzle announced at the same time as this that's OoT themed.

Well, his opinions do change over time, as Villager has shown. Only time will tell.

I personally think it's unlikely though. Dr. Mario using FLUDD doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
