Not everyone lays or knows what Rhythm Heaven is about. I think it's just as likely for them to be negatively perceived by the same people who originally negatively looked at Mr. Game & Watch, R.O.B., and the Wii Fit Trainers

I'd hope for Nightmare out of those. But what about Heihachi? If I'm not mistaken, he's the "cross-over" character for Tekken.

Most likely, but I think once they are revealed, I'm sure they will be well received with the rhythm based moveset they will have.

I actually think Nightmare get in before any Tekken character, as I would imagine when Sakurai said he wasn't tempted to include fighting game characters, he was specifically referring to Street Fighter and Tekken.

Well shoot, I actually like Street Fighter. Oh well, never thought Ryu or any of the cast actually had a chance after Megaman. I think Sakurai said that he liked Street Fighter and even participated in some tournaments. I think I read that somewhere.
Does anyone else want to see the other characters with the Power Leaf? I think it would be funny to see Charizard with it.

I've been thinking about November and December, with the 3D World reveal and Smash reveal.
People being obnoxious and assuming Rosalina is a shoo-in, and then...it actually happens.
There's something about it all that makes me want to cry.
I guess it has to do with the flawed logic and arguments of people being justified.

The regular trailer will have Isaac, with the remaining 64 vets, Wario and Game and watch.

Realistically (or at least more than the above idea) I'd be fine with his Returns/TF voice.

I think most people just don't really understand how Sakurai works. Has everybody forgotten about "Up until now" with Lucas/Ness? Or the R.O.B. shenanigans in Brawl, where there was obviously no possible way a common enemy could be playable? Between these, the Toon Link in Spirit Tracks scenario and of course, the trolling Sakurai did in the Direct itself (Zero Suit, Palutena, Greninja/Mewtwo etc.), there's a very convincing case that there's more to Ridley than meets the eye.
It's classic Sakurai misdirection. I'm not saying Ridley is a dead-cert, but there's certainly more to the situation.
Plus, think about it. Little Mac got in, and he's way popular in the West. For that matter, Sakurai clearly took some kind of inspiration from Project M and the Smash community when he made For Glory mode and separated the transformation characters. Mega Man got in on the basis of being the most popular third-party request for Smash, and Sakurai clearly knows about Mewtwo's enduring popularity. This guy pays way more attention to the Smash community than we think he does - he's more than aware of how popular Ridley must be, so for him to keep stringing the fans along if he has no intention of playable Ridley would be downright douchey. If Ridley really wasn't going to be playable, Sakurai knows how upset that'll make the fans - the only kind thing to do would be to put them out of their misery early rather than keeping him (literally) in the shadows.

Actually, I'm not really sure there will necessarily be a R.O.B type situation. The thing is, none of the established newcomers have had an overall negative reception, even if they previously weren't the top of the polls in demand, as shown by Rosalina and Greninja. Heck, WFT, the true R.OB/Mr. G&W-style curveball of this game, managed to gather a surprising amount of popularity despite practically non-existant support. If she could get that level of praise and popularity, then surely it is unlikely that the Chorus Men won't.
In fact, the only character on Sal Romano's leak that has a decent chance of getting an overall negative reception would probably be Chrom really, if he ends up getting in over Ike and/or is barely different from the FE characters we already have had in the franchise.
I would LOVE Funky Kong. My second favorite video game character.

Funky Kong's chances aren't bad but I won't really be happy if he gets in instead of King K. Rool or even Dixie.
I think Cranky is more likely then Funky with him being playable in TF.
Maybe Funky would be an Alt to DK. I wouldn't really mind that.

As a drummer, it's gonna pain me to see DK's final smash change. I LOVED the interactive feature that made you keep the rhythm to get more power, although I didn't use DK that often.
Maybe they can upgrade DK to a full drumset. (oh, i'd rather have Kranky, but Funky's also cool.)

IMO I think it is going to be changed into an arcade final smash based on the original DK game. Seems likely if his Final Smash is going to be changed.
