I knew that was coming. But, with all due respect Krystal's staff is nothing more than a hopeful wish. The odds of Sakurai implementing a character based on a Rareware game that he clearly shows 0 interest in is slim beyond belief, let alone the fact that it's also a character with little to no priority. Nothing is automatically likely just because it's unique an requested. Her staff is not relevant to her or her current design. That would be at least important enough for a Final Smash, not an entire move set. But, with the rest of her move set pretty much EXACTLY identical to Fox, why even bother. Even if she DID have the staff she STILL wouldn't be significant enough.

So without her staff we are left with this:

She might as well just be a pallete swap of Fox. So removing Wolf for Krystal defeats the ENTIRE purpos of removing Wolf in the first place. The reason Wolf is expendable is because he's not very important and is the third character with a Fox move set. Now he's not just expenable because he has a Fox move set, but when there are three that have it already and one of them is already a low priority character, that's when he becomes expendable. So replacing him with an even LESS important and MORE clonier Fox you are (as I've said) defeating the entire purpose of removing him.

I hate despise this argument more than any other argument. It is such a feeble cop out used by everybody when they are out of arguments. You realize this can apply to anything, right? Watch: "I don't think Magikarp being weak and unimportant means anything, if Sakurai wants to make him an OP character and replace Pikachu with him, he certainly will."

Imagine if I just said: "Why is Prince Sable likely? Well if Sakurai wants to add him he will." That doesn't tell me why he would add him.

You're just dismissing all logic and saying it means nothing and pretending that Sakurai is making this game for his own personal benefit so you can avoid explaining your reasoning.

What you're saying doesn't even need to be stated. Of course if he chooses to do something then he'll do it? I'd be surprised if he made a decision to do something and didn't do it unless there were time constraints. In fact, Sakurai wanted to do something isn't even a good reason. If Sakurai wanting to add Magikarp, I bet he still wouldn't. Because he does what he thinks is best. Not just what he wants.

Every time somebody can't defend why a character wouldn't be a clone or why they would get in, they use the ultimate cop out: "Well, Sakurai will do what he wants." The thing is I don't care what Sakurai CAN do, a care about what he WILL do. So if you can't tell me why he WOULD do it, I don't see the point in saying "If something hypothetically happens, than it will hypothetically happen." That kind of goes without saying and is irrelevant to the debate.

Her being a clone is just as likely as her being unique. I try defending you and you nitpick one little thing I say and blow up on me. Nice.

So I'm pretty sure I'm going to add Chrom and Lucina to my roster as separate characters.

It seems reasonable to me, after all they're both really popular, and would be easy to make movesets for.

I mean what's really stopping them from including both? Star Fox has three characters and they're all semiclones.

No, but seriously. Adding two Fire Emblem characters from the same installment, having 4 Fire Emblem characters, one a direct clone of Marth with the same sword as Chrom. Nope.

If Lucina's character wasn't sprung from the concept of "female Marth so you can marry Marth", then i'd be suprised.
Not dissing the character, but she puts up a pretty good Marth.
