I'm pretty sure we get Zelda games here first anyways. Zelda isn't as popular over there as it is here. The way I see it is that Zelda won't get another rep, even Mario is starting to grab characters from the 2nd level of "characters with importance)

I can see a Zelda newcomer and considering the surprises we've had recently I can see it being Tetra. Far more relevant than Ghirahim or Vaati put together. Not that Sakurai thinks like that

I honestly think at the current moment, that Ghirahim and Vaati are the two most likely Zelda newcomers at the moment, so you can definitely say I'm not a nay-sayer.

My hopes are becoming increasingly high at the moment, at least for Ghirahim, though like I said, I would be completely OK with Vaati too, just no Tingle please, he would add nothing to the roster.

If it's going to be anyone it'll be Ghirahim but I still think Tetra is more likely than Tingle or vaati. Ghirahim would be ok but he represents *that game* and Vaati is awesome but not particularly prominent in the series. Tetra however would be a nice addition to the toon universe side of things.

There are a surplus of Waifu-Chans that must be in this game: Micaiah, Palutena, Viridi, Lyn, and an IdolM@ster character to rep Namco.

Of course 2 are deconfirmed, one has less than 50%, one has less than 1% chance, and only one is confirmed..

Sure am! Nah, it's not the worst game I've ever played but I'd be lying if I said it was one of my favourite Zeldas. Tetra would mean more to me but as I say I still think Ghirahim is more likely.

With the inclusion of some Namco representation, however, one can't really forget the possibility that Pac-Man could be the next 3rd party competitor.

I do believe Pac-Man is a shoe in for this game but have you watched one of the recent gamexplain videos? They are speculating a possible Soul Calibur rep due to the color scheme in the final destination stage.

Vaati and Ghirahim? Is it time for a three-way showdown between the one-off Zelda characters that no one cares about? Time to toss my mask in the ring.

While it's generally hard for me to not think the worst of things, what with the world being an awful place and all, I'm just going to stop hating on characters, yup.
I'm going to look at all the positive aspects, it's only fitting of a Happy Mask Supporter. Time to change my outlook on this.

Ghirahim? Well he is quite fabulous, his knives would be really interesting... He's got two swords and he knows how to use them as well.

Vaati? Well he's purple, I like purple. He's owned by Nintendo but he was made by Capcom, so I guess that's a neat way to get two Capcom characters, right?

And those newcomers we have, Villager is always smiling, you can tell I like that. Mega Man is awesome and retro and has more projectiles than you can shake a stick at. Miss Fit is... R34 material, Rosalina too. Little Mac has a pink hoodie, I'd like that as an alt. Greninja was my starter in X along with Charizard, that's pretty neat, I even had a Pikachu as well and got a Lucario for free, guess the gangs all here. Olimar wasn't nerfed that bad... He might not be what he's supposed to be anymore, but at least he can fall with style fly for his recovery. Pokemon Trainer isn't that big of a loss either, he was just in the background after all.. I'm sorry.

Regarding the whole roster balance thing of "the big 3":

Mario should stay at 5 as there is really nobody I feel needs including. Rosalina was the best possible choice for a Mario rep. We currently don't need anymore unless we are willing to delve into the RPGs. I wouldn't be too surprised if Bowser Jr. showed up, but that's the max for this game. I really think no other Mario character (from the platformers) needs/deserves a spot.

Pokémon deserves to take the most spots on the roster because it has BY FAR more characters to choose from, it's an endless gold mine for Smash characters. And I'm sure there are more fans of particular Pokémon than there are of Mario characters. This arbitrary "but Mario is the biggest franchise" argument is not logical. Mario may beat Pokémon in sales, but consider the fact that big Pokémon releases come WAY less often than Mario ones. I feel Pokémon is just as well known as Mario at this point. That, and I think it's way easier to please the Pokémon fans than the Mario ones.

Zelda doesn't necessarily need a newcomer, anyone beyond Toon Zelda/Sheik, King Harkinian (), Vaati or Tingle, is digging at the bottom of the barrel out of desperation. For this iteration of Smash though, Ganondorf being completely revamped would do as a newcomer.

The big three is an idea that shouldn't exist. Pokemon and Mario are very popular worldwide. Zelda isn't as liked in Japan as it is here. We get the Zelda games first now. Also, I think the new Zelda rep has to be Mask Salesman or the guy who plays the Song of Storms in the tower. Because you know, its the song of storms.

The idea of Toon Zelda/Sheik is sooooooooooOOOOoooOOoOOOOOOoo unappealing and the addition of Tingle to the roster is a slap to the face to every smash bros fan out there.

The only "new" zelda rep that would be received positively is a Ganondorf with a new move set. Otherwise there is no need to over saturate a series that is already represented very well in the game.
