I'd say anything more than six is definitely pushing it...I think I've spent the last day mostly worrying about Ivysaur's and Squirtle's fates.
Ah well.
How unlikely is Pokémon getting 8 characters, by the way?

Do you have good reason to believe otherwise?Reading through these pages, you all should ashamed that you think Mewtwo has a very low chance.
Could happen, but it's unlikely. Not because of "TOO MANY POGEZMAN CHARACHURTS!", but because I just don't see Sakurai keeping Squirtle & Ivysaur now that the Pokemon Trainer is no more.I think I've spent the last day mostly worrying about Ivysaur's and Squirtle's fates.
Ah well.

Not me.Mewtwo and Jigglypuff indeed are far more likely than Ivysaur and Squirtle at this point.
Which is a shame, cause I think I prefer both Ivysaur and Squirtle over Jigglypuff.
Well I'm not, they would NOT cut off anyone from the original smash.Reading through these pages, you all should ashamed that you think Mewtwo has a very low chance.
Honestly the way I see it is that Smash focuses on the anime:I just think Squirtle and Ivysaur are way more iconic than Jigglypuff. But I doubt that they'll come back anyway. Honestly, am fine with Mewtwo and Jigglypuff. The Puff has certainly grown on me during all the years of Smash. But I honestly wouldn't be too upset if another Pokémon got in before her. Sceptile for example? No problem. It's not gonna happen, but I think I'm still allowed to prefer this option right?
That's an interesting theory, but I still don't think Mewtwo will returnHonestly the way I see it is that Smash focuses on the anime:
Pikachu and Charizard- Ash's Strongest Pokemon (Most well known Pokemon due to being on game carts as well as having very rare cards)
Jigglypuff- Icon of the anime with her and the marker (A fave of anime)
Lucario- Had his own movie (A fave of gen 4)
Mewtwo- Had two movies (A fan favorite out of all six gens)
Greninja- I think there is some type of movie about him and (Recent fave)
Honestly the only other character I could see getting in before any of them is Meowth because of Team Rocket, or Squirtle because of the Squirtle Squad. Ivysaur only got in because he came with Pokemon Trainer.
Even if he doesn't I'm saying only Jigglypuff or Squirtle can get in over him. That's an interesting theory, but I still don't think Mewtwo will return
Bah HUMBUG!! I still say Mewtwo is less likely than Shadow at this point, but high chances are neither will be in anyway!
I agree. Shadow is less likely than Mewtwo, Donbe and Hikari, Micaiah, Anna, Robin, Lip, Rhythm Wrestler and Chrom getting in the same game
I disagree because Shadow wouldn't even be a good 2nd rep for Sega. Phantom R or Samba would be much better.Bah HUMBUG!! I still say Mewtwo is less likely than Shadow at this point, but high chances are neither will be in anyway!
Heck, Goku has a better chance of getting in.I agree. Shadow is less likely than Mewtwo, Donbe and Hikari, Micaiah, Anna, Robin, Lip, Rhythm Wrestler and Chrom getting in the same game
This x100Which is a shame, cause I think I prefer both Ivysaur and Squirtle over Jigglypuff.
And I agree to this too. I even think Squirtle is more relevant compared to Jigglypuff.I just think Squirtle and Ivysaur are way more iconic than Jigglypuff. But I doubt that they'll come back anyway.
You do realize that Nintendo has a high chance of buying up SEGA in the future, right?
So that clearly means they have to put in Shadow now over Mewtwo. You do realize that Nintendo has a high chance of buying up SEGA in the future, right?
Exactly, the point being Fire Emblem would have five reps before Sonic gets two.Heck, Goku has a better chance of getting in.
I know it's most likely not happening in this title, but Shadow is far more famous than Mewtwo, so if Nintendo buys up SEGA it would make perfect sense to have Shadow in as playable. So that clearly means they have to put in Shadow now over Mewtwo.
Because of some hypothesis.
Ok ok, let's say Sonic gets a second rep. Shadow will not be playable before Tails.I know it's most likely not happening in this title, but Shadow is far more famous than Mewtwo, so if Nintendo buys up SEGA it would make perfect sense to have Shadow in as playable.
True, but Nintendo buying up SEGA would mean they get a load of extras, I'm only saying that Shadow can be among them.Ok ok, let's say Sonic gets a second rep. Shadow will not be playable before Tails.
Wait, let me get this straight.I know it's most likely not happening in this title, but Shadow is far more famous than Mewtwo,
Not really.so if Nintendo buys up SEGA it would make perfect sense to have Shadow in as playable.
Actually no he doesn't. Goku isn't even eligible.Heck, Goku has a better chance of getting in.
If it's not likely for this title , why is it relevant.I know it's most likely not happening in this title, but Shadow is far more famous than Mewtwo, so if Nintendo buys up SEGA it would make perfect sense to have Shadow in as playable.
Compared to Shadow?Actually no he doesn't. Goku isn't even eligible.
Don't get me wrong, I don't remotely think Shadow has any serious chance at all, but as far as non-Nintendo characters go, he still originated from a video game franchise, which is an important criteria for inclusion, whereas Goku is an anime character.Compared to Shadow?
He's a shoe-in.
Nintendo buying up SEGA would make them Nintendo characters, they'd just be second party. It's also worth noting that Sonic is the second most popular franchise involved in Smash, so Sakurai putting in more Sonic characters when Nintendo owns SEGA would be a big mistake. Not really.
Even if, this is still a game about Nintendo characters.
It doesn't matter that Nintendo has Sega, they're still Sega. That won't change.
Pardon my French, but may I ask for evidence?Characters are either owned by Nintendo or they're not. If Nintendo owns SEGA, Sonic characters are first-party.
Once again, not really.Nintendo buying up SEGA would make them Nintendo characters, they'd just be second party.
Opinions =/= fact. It's also worth noting that Sonic is the second most popular franchise involved in Smash,
Exactly.so Sakurai putting in more Sonic characters when Nintendo owns SEGA would be a big mistake.
