I didn't mean picking obscure character ideas solely to be a try hard, I meant more so picking solid characters that you think would be fun and would actually play as without being too pressured by what is exactly likely. Because let's face it, what is exactly likely is fairly subjective and in the past what was considered likely was proven false.
Actually, now that you brought it up, how likely is it actually that we'll see a Fire Emblem newcomer tomorrow? I see it a lot around here, but with the low amount of content Fire Emblem has received so far in Smash 4, compared to other series like Metroid or Kid Icarus, it just doesn't seem like they're... I suppose "ready" for a new Fire Emblem character, perhaps? Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we won't get any new Fire Emblem character in the game at all, but I'm just not convinced that now is the time to get one.

This sarcasm of yours just comes off as rather silly and ignorant to me. I take your sarcasm just as seriously as I would if you said "Oh, sure! King K. Rool is MUCH more important than the main villain of Tropical Freeze ." It's so ironic because what you expect is to silence me as if it were a rhetorical question. When funnily, the answer to your strange question is a simple and direct: Yes.
But, what's even more ironic is that I expect that it doesn't need an explanation, but to the majority of Smash fans it's all about recency and internationalism automatically triumphing over significance and recurrence. So the mere thought of a Japan Only character in Smash or someone who doesn't live up to your bias and personal views on what YOU and people on YOUR side think should happen, results in you scratching your head and acting like me even bringing up a more significant character is "Highly unorthodox" because he's not muh recent.
But, I don't expect to change your mind. So I'll just leave it at this:

Prepared not only for the reveal, but for the flood of mindless acceptance that is sure to follow. The Mii does not magically become better as a concept, just because it's staring us soullessly in the face.
Fire Emblem got the same amount of content as Punch-Out!! did before Little Mac was revealed.
They'd have to pull something really impressive with the Mii to get me to like it. And if a top contender was snubbed for them, I'd dislike them regardless. Just don't like 'em.

Fair point, but that was a character representing an entirely new series. Something like that is to be expected. I think for the most part they would keep the stuff from new series being represented a secret until their character is revealed. On the other hand, it just seems odd that they would show off a new character the an already present series that hasn't been getting much attention so far.
They'd have to do something really impressive with the Mii to get me to not despise ever fiber of its being in Smash. Nothing the Mii can do will make me like it, ever, no matter what the "soooo unique" sycophants predict. It'll be mild dislike at the very best.

Hey, we can only speculate based off reasonable deduction based on what has already happened and how it could affect things in the future. And personally, I feel this would be a logical time to reveal a FE newcomer.

See, I'm okay with Miis. But like many of you, I'm one against the idea of customization.
So, what if we make Mii it's own character. That's it.
Nothing else. No customization, no changing the Mii's face. It's its own character.

Not to Toad fans, she sure didn't. But really, there's no comparison between a character like Rosalina and a concept like the Mii. People can't dress Rosalina up to resemble anyone, ever, and parade her around online to troll others. Rosalina can't possibly devour as much development time through stupid customizability or multiple body types. Even at her worst, Rosalina would have been the second female magic-user on the roster (she's one of a kind, now), whereas there are two existing diminutive prop-spammers on the roster already.
