So we're finally done with that stoopid Dr Kawashima argument. I've already made my final prediction of who will be announced during the Direct a long time ago, so I'm ready.

Seriously though, it would be cool if there's some sort of PokeBall or AT or something that has an effect which makes everyone look low-poly for a limited time. Or perhaps a stage that makes you look like that (c'mon, we need something that will compete with those flat stages!).

Man, if Snake's returning I really wish he would be revealed asap... as well as other characters, notably Ike, Lucas, and whatnot.

The only newcomers in my prediction were as follows

Dixie Kong
Shadow
Krystal
Palutena

That's only one extra Sonic character, and I don't care that it's unlikely, Sonic is the closest to Nintendo than any other Third Party franchise. Quit bombing me about this whole Sonic thing!

Well, I could totally see them throwing us a curveball, whether that'd be a character reveal or something big that we didn't know about before. Damn, this place is going to blow up on the 8th either way.

Um, Syn Sophia is an indie company. The are the developers of Style Savvy, along with Nintendo SPD. She is Geno if he wasn't a Mario character and was owned by an indie company.

When the hell are these Daisy fans going to learn that SHE will never be in Smash. I love Daisy and do want better roles for her, but I know that she will eventually be a costume after Rosalina was confirmed. Besides, Sakurai isn't going to put a ****load of princesses in Smash.

Well, you know, the thing about curveballs is...

What characters would we really define as curveballs? Because when you get down to it, a ton of characters, likely or not, could be considered "curveballs" by a large portion of fans. Take Ridley for example. Must of us on Smashboards find him to be a fully plausible and, at this point, a likely character. But a very large portion of the fanbase thinks that he's either unlikely or downright impossible. So, for a lot of people, that would be a curveball. In actuality, there are a lot of characters out there that may be obvious to us, but surprises to the rest of the Smash fanbase. On the other hand, there will also probably be a couple more choices that the majority of us didn't find terribly likely, but some still thought could happen, such as Villager or Rosalina. The one thing I doubt we'll see is another character that practically no one expected, along the lines of Wii Fit Trainer, for reasons I think I've made very clear at this point.

So, I think it's quite possible, perhaps likely even, that we'll see some surprises, but at the same time, I think those surprises (hopefully) won't be too surprising, and I think we'll also see a lot of stuff that, to us, isn't surprising at all.
