Maybe I'm used to it at this point, but he certainly looks like he would fit.

Nothing wrong with it, but I prefer the Brawl Ridley.

I don't see a reason not to expect something big reveal-wise for Tuesday. Just because we get a highly hyped character next week doesn't mean we also can't get one at E3.

This is a Smash Direct, it makes sense to have loftier expectations than normal.

This is a Smash Direct, it makes sense to have loftier expectations than normal.

Well, some people are expecting completely surprising characters. I could see a character that people didn't expect as much happening if we also get a character that a lot of people expected/wanted to balance it out.

You have to look at it this way, usually a direct hovers anywhere from 25 minutes to 40 minutes, that is a lot of time that they are going to have to fill with content. We are going to get a lot of new stuff in this debate, and also seeing that we really haven't had much of a update of note for the past 6 weeks we'll be getting some nice goodies come Tuesday.

You have to look at it this way, usually a direct hovers anywhere from 25 minutes to 40 minutes, that is a lot of time that they are going to have to fill with content. We are going to get a lot of new stuff in this debate, and also seeing that we really haven't had much of a update of note for the past 6 weeks we'll be getting some nice goodies come Tuesday.

So I think the real question now is how MANY newcomers will be revealed Tuesday?
I'd personally say two Newcomers and a Veteran or two.

I don't expect more than 3 newcomers to be revealed, that would be too good to be true.

All I'm hoping for is a newcomer, a veteran (if only to make up for March), and some uncut gameplay.

The fear of it being Mii's is contagious, yikes!! I guess a Direct _would_ be a pretty good opportunity to explain the Mii's if they're customizable and all that, but still I'd rather it not happen. At least not right now.

Normally I try not to expect too much either, and just be content with what we get, but given the last two Directs and given that this is a whole Direct solely about Smash... I really don't think getting a single newcomer is having inflated expectations. Old habits can be good to stand by, but this is an entirely new situation, and could very well be the biggest single dose of official pre-release Smash info to date, across all games in the series.

I'd also add that Nintendo would be aware of the backlash should we not get a newcomer, but it's Nintendo, so even if they're aware they still probably wouldn't care.

Considering the amount of time this game has been in development, I'll be dumbfounded if there isn't a release date.
And on the gameplay part, I really want to see how the ledge mechanics work in motion.

In the worst case we could get an explanation of the newcomers and veterans revealed so far, like the one with the developer direct. Which it isn't bad at all and not expecting at least a veteran/newcomer would be rather silly, it's a SSB Direct after all.

I'm expecting them to appear too, but I honestly don't really care, might aswell get it over with. I'm mostly excited about all the gameplay, and hopefully some explanation on the different game modes. Even if the newcomer is bullocks there's still a lot of other stuff to look forward to.

I'm so excited for this Direct.

I would hope they wouldn't just plop Mii's in there on their own. They have to understand that a majority of the people watching are people who seriously follow this game. He's got to have at least one major pick in there I would think.

If we were to get Mii's and then say...Shulk, Palutena, Mewtwo or Ridley, the internet would explode (Shulk to a much, much lesser degree).

I can't help but think we're getting a few veterans and one or two newcomers, but the rest will be Sakurai talking about stuff. I would think we'd get a Smash Bros Trailer 2 (Youtube list has a "Trailer 1") so we'll probably get something similar to the reveal trailer. So hopefully a few vets and a newcomer or two.

I think a release date is pretty likely quite honestly. This gaem has been in development for awhile now, and that would cause hype leading into E3 into astronomical levels.

I have high hopes. Then again, I almost always do. I'm pretty easy to please if I'm being honest, so I'm not worried for this Direct.

I can't stress this enough, but...
Trailer 2 with Ness, Cap, and Takamaru.
Newcomer trailer for Palutena.

Then we can get a match between big faces from Nintendo (Sakurai, Reggie, Miyamoto, and Iwata would be HYPE), some character analyses like we got last time, and so on.
Really I can't wait for this and it's a crime that Sakurai is hyping me up with this when I still have schoolwork to do.
